Thanks chewie. I forgot about Spelunky, that'll be a hit. Starcraft just might break these computers. Might be able to grab doom aswell. I have a buddy who is pretty technologicaly sound and he often uses his visual boy advance emulator in class so I might try spreading that around.

Putting UrW on your school computers is a breach of your software license, unless it's a trial copy. Don't be a dick. Indy developers don't need this.

Yeah. I hadn't thought of that. I think I'll just keep it on my personal flash drive then.

Defcon. It costs money, but is so worth it. Besides, there's even a minimizable version!

Starcraft just might break these computers.

They're talking Starcraft 1.

Okay, so, today this girl I know-Lauren, just took a sudden dis-interest in talking to me. Is she just on her period or something?

Maybe you'll learn reading comprehension in Grade 8.

Umm... Dwarf Fortress is a pretty good game (at least I've heard it is :P ).
But, If your computers can't run Starcraft they probably can't run it either, you've probably tried already.
There is also caravaneer which is a Falloutish type game, just download it and stick it on your USB.

Flailing people to death with empty socks, though, that takes a lot of effort. Less so if the sock's made out of something interesting, but generally quite difficult.

If those computers can't run Starcraft 1, then they'd have to be either from the future, where it's no longer supported in hardware or software, or from before Windows 95.

Because the requirements are basically nil, nix, nothing in today's standards.

Starcraft requirements:
    * 90 MHz processor for Windows
      120 Mhz processor for Mac OS
    * SVGA video card or equivalent
    * 16MB RAM (32MB recommended)
    * DirectX version 2.0 or better
    * 80MB of disk space

Your school's computers are guaranteed to have at least that much.

You'd be surprised.

Our school computers could barely run Liero. My work laptop struggles with Uplink.

But yeah, Defcon is fun. Even when your FRIENDS BACKSTAB YOU WITH THEIR KNIFE-TIPPED ICBMS

Starcraft might work actually. I tried DF and it wouldn't even start.

Can you find the specs for these computers? It would help immensely in finding good games for you to try running.

I'd say any of the Might and Magic games can be addictive and rather timesinky.

And Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. Oh god, ES4:O.

EDIT: Also, it seems Disgaea games and Persona games are timesinks.

I can't believe you were all uppity with me about us suggesting Starcraft I to him, but you came forward with Oblivion.
