Head back, and tie the door to your back again. Also tie the lantern to your hip. This time, go to the left tunnel, instead of the right.

As you turn left, the noise gets closer and louder. Down the hall to the left is a dead end with a statue. The statue is holding out a scale. The right side of the scale is lowered, and the left is raised.

GM: just as a rule of thumb, I will accept multiple actions in one post as long as they don't overide each other. In the case that they do overide each other, I will take the first action submitted by default, unless a majority vetoes it for another action.

You push down on the left side of the scale, it takes a lot of force, but you eventually get the scale even. Nothing happens. You release the scale, and it goes back to its unbalanced state from before. The noise is getting closer. Your skin is getting itchier. You're starting to feel a bit uneasy.

Head back to the room with the corpse, and tie the door to your back again. Also tie the lantern to your hip. Grab the mask on the corpse. Put the mask on the left side of the scale.

After that, prepare yourself for combat.  You are a master in the ancient art of Door-Fu.

Now you know why I tried to grab the door earlier. You people took it back off. :(

You begin to walk back to the room you just came from. As soon as you turn the corner, your lantern catches a figure in the distance. You can barely see it from where you are. It is one of the corpses, covered in bandages, wearing an iron mask. Walking towards you. Faster and faster.

Realizing your torch burnt out a long time ago, you reach into your lantern-jar and throw a mushroom as hard as you can at the oncoming stranger. The spongy morsel bounces softly off the chest of the man. He does not react whatsoever.

"Aeuughhhhhhh" the figure groans.

You walk up to the figure, who is still shambling towards you, moaning. You quickly reach out and grab the iron mask from his face. You recoil in disgust the moment you do, dropping the mask to the ground with a clank. His face, which you expected to be withered and normal, like the rest of the corpses, is covered entirely in a mesh of phosphorescent blue tendrils. You can only see very few bits of his skin underneath the root system.

"GraaAAaaaugghh" the man says, as he grabs hold of your right wrist tightly.
