I'm very mediocre. For many things I've just stopped caring, I always use the easiest way out of things. I use to power read through books, reading books in a week or two which would take the average joe a couple months (insomnia). Now I can barely even finish reading A Clockwork Orange, its not that I don't like the book, I love it. I just cant bring myself to finish and I get distracted by other things. I also have ADD (professionally diagnosed) which makes me go off track a lot. What could I do to get rid of these problems?

Seriously, I have a high tolerance for need help posts, but this is almost too much. Get on meds, at least, so you remove an excuse for accepting mediocrity, which as you describe it, sounds a lot more like apathy or general depression.

Just do the crap you've been putting off. There's a chance you've developed a low effort-reward factor. Start denying your instant gratifications and do stuff.

I loved Dante's Inferno, actually. I found it quite amusing that he used it to insult his enemies and stuff.

But this was written hundreds of years ago. And this was way more than a game, it was a book. This man's work has survived hundreds of years, and people still read it.
