Yeah, you guys are kinda-assholes at best, maybe. I never thought of anyone on that list as an asshole. Pathos was just dumb.

At worst one could call some people on the list overly stubborn or overzealous. Asshole is a term that is a bit beyond them.

 And I'm doubting the nice people bit after that thread with the chick asking for $400. Understandably the thread wouldn't go anywhere, but all those hand images...

I've come to expect such derails on every thread. It has to happen eventually. The sad thread was about double downs for a while, the horrifyingly bad forumite "concept art" thread was about Berkeley and colleges/universities in general, and so on.

I quite like the self-flagellation and despairing for the forum that goes on every time a thread gets derailed or goes to strange places.  I mean, it's cute, and shows people care.
