So I heard the police shot him dead and the hostages are safe.
A link would be nice if you read it online.

Quote from: Ze Spy
Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

So by being shot and killed, by his own logic, he helped the earth?

I'm watching TV coverage right now.  Good old suicide by sniper apparently, or he may be on his way to a hospital, it's pretty unclear.  But now there's a question of live explosives on his person or still in the building.

Broadcast this message until the pollution in the planet is reversed and the human population goes down! This is your obligation. If you think it isn't, then get hell off the planet! Breathe Oil! It is the moral obligation of everyone living otherwise what good are they??

5. Immigration: Programs must be developed to find solutions to stopping ALL immigration pollution and the anchor baby filth that follows that. Find solutions to stopping it. Call for people in the world to develop solutions to stop it completely and permanently. Find solutions FOR these countries so they stop sending their breeding populations to the US and the world to seek jobs and therefore breed more unwanted pollution babies. FIND SOLUTIONS FOR THEM TO STOP THEIR HUMAN GROWTH AND THE EXPORTATION OF THAT DISGUSTING FILTH! (The first world is feeding the population growth of the Third World and those human families are going to where the food is! They must stop procreating new humans looking for nonexistant jobs!)

Well, the list of demands website is already down, but going by this, it's like the guy is a cartoonish witch's brew of the nutiest extremes of righties and lefties.

Welp, DC just found its next three months of programming.

(Glad no victims were hurt.)

Police: "Sir, are you crazy or just senile?"
Grandpa Simpson: "Ehh..a little from Column A, a little from Column B."

Yeah...he's like the unholy marriage of the ELF and the Minutemen. One can almost imagine him patrolling the border with his animal friends, like a xenophobic Marc Singer.

Also, I can see how this will play out among the pundits for the next few weeks:

FOX: "This guy was a crazy liberal enviro-freak, just like all Democrats!"
MSNBC: "This guy was a crazy anti-immigration nut, just like all Republicans!"
Discovery Channel: "This guy was great for reminding America that we're still on the air!"

Yeah, pretty much.  I can't wait to see what kind of programming DC puts on about it.  But why all this riffing on the Channel?  Just a couple years ago, The Deadliest Catch was like the most watched show on basic cable.

No, that's Ice Road Truckers.  And Ax Men.  DC struck gold with Deadliest Catch, and the History channel tried to jump on the bandwagon by flooding it's lineup with Alaskan rednecks.

I'm tired of DC and Hist both for their inordinate focus on blue collar and heavy industry shows. How It's Made is great. Back to back to back to back episodes of Engineering Marvels, not so much.

I way prefer Nat Geo and learning about the world as it doesn't relate to making money and building stuff. But I like documentaries, and I know they put the public to sleep.

Also I'm getting sick of how DC turns personal tragedy into profit. Phil deserved a lot better, I think, than being used as a poster boy for DC's programming. But at least his family is getting something out of it.

I think there was a thread somewhere else about the gradual crappification of both Discovery and History Channels(i think that thread lead directly to the birth of Double Downs Man). For networks that are supposed to embody learning and science, they've devolved to "Could a shark beat an alligator in a fight?" type programming.

Well, I actually did watch the show "Could a shark beat an alligator in a fight?" on discovery channel.  I think the shark won.

Anyway, the cached version in the OP still seems to work.  The guys nuts, that's for sure.  Good to hear the hostages are now safe.

The guy sounds EXACTLY like an Elf in DF, only thing missing is that he wasn't crying out for the trees, but yea, despite him saying people aren't inventing, well hey, they ARE, theres innovations all the time and people looking for solutions. He flips between 'kill all humans' and 'lets nerve staple the facts into peoples brains'.

The breathe oil comment just clinches his insanity....

The logic would've worked in reverse ("If you think humans are so bad, get off the planet").  As it is it's just a nonsense.
