Decal limit can be set under options -> graphics. It's one of the only two graphics settings available.

I beat the bridge using alot of mines since they come form both sides. Cold imbued eggs buy you alot time.

I'm going to try cold shield + Walls + Slowing time + blizzard + beams of beamy death. That shouls help me  cross the bridge.

Though i'll probably die before the next ChPoi

I forget which it is, but either lightning or arcane (go for both!) added to cold mines causes them to throw back enemies as well as slowing them.

I've gotten stuck there before (everything being dead, but it not letting me leave) if I knocked any enemies off the bridge.

No, i'm good.

I hasted and blocked off the troll end. I think there's usually more than one, but I didn't lower the bridge or something.

Now there are yeti. More than one and i'm lunch, and I've hasted, but all there is is a closed door.

You're at the area after nifelheim with all the yetis?
Get the invisibility spell by going past the trees south east of the starting position, then 'sneak' to the door, load full fire and spray a circle outside the door
