Played the demo a little last night. Fun!

Well after 3,000 attempts, false starts and whatever, MP is good fun. The wrong person can make it pretty irritating though.

The game will be much better once the stability gets sorted out.

Personally the best spells are the ones easy to cast...

Haste and Slow time are my personal favorites.

Though I am not very good at the game yet... I kill the majority of my enemies with the Sword of Masters.

QFQFAAS. It's a beam attack that adds water your enemy and hits them with lightning. I can gib trolls in about three seconds with this. You have to make sure to put the elements in that order, though, otherwise I think the lightning gets cancelled out etc.

A couple've tips:-

1. Always have your personal shield up. ALWAYS. Trolls can kill you in one or two hits without it, but it always adds at least one hit to your life bar.
2. Try to use haste as much as possible. Haste is your friend.
3. Regularly combine elements for massive damage. Remember that steam doesn't cancel out lightning, too.
4. Experiment. Just piss about with all your spell combos. Don't be afraid to die! Life is just a reload away!

Surprised this game came out, bought and downloading off gamersgate, almost done. Pretty excited

Personal shield is great at boss fights, however near useless against groups since you get knocked down all the time.
Somehow I don't find the singleplayer very satisfying, still waithing for multiplayer to work properly.

Yep Lightning Steam is extremely powerful.

Magicka is one of those few games that actually manages to get harder the more people you have. Playing with 4 players is more of a game of "stop killing me".

Though I still like using Arcana+Cold against wet enemies.

I havn't found a real use for Ice yet... It doesn't seem to do anything particularly well other then the fact that it can get enemies wet or freeze them if done right.

Also I am surprised by how much the game often doesn't skimp out on secret weapons... I know two in particular that outclass most other weapons.

God dammit, when I finished downloading with gamersgate I realized the install went through steam, and when I activated it on steam it started the download all over again. I hate steam so much

won't even let me buy it. Steam thinks I am not logged in even though I def. am. I guess it's steam's way of saving me money on this and Monday Night Combat, the two games I was going to buy for myself.

Wow, I love this. I am definitely the explorer-type gamer, and this gives me lots of magic to play with. Ice and Earth is a new favorite, because of the sheer awesome of a spiky ice-ball that goes ridiculously fast.

Also the silliness of the game attracts me. I love the red herring in the village :3
