I have a severe large roach infestation.... :p
Anyhow remind me of the critical gamestopping bugs.
I remember
1-military madness
2-M.A.S.H. lazyness
3-mountains of trash.
4-Noble and other positions deleted on death of dwarf holding it.
military is more practical in equiping itself now, though there are some mis-match issues that can persist, at least recruits will grab some stuff and go to training and of training at reasonable schedules. (Provided that about half the squadsize is scheduled to be active.
Training sessions no longer take for ever and dwarves do learn from them now.
I enjoyed watching my recruits wrestling and trowing about eachother, clothes etc. active sparring I have not really observed yet, but maybe that requires all squadmembers to have about equal levels of expertise.
(Don't give raw recruits individual choice of weapons, they will try them all, becoming dabbling at a lot, but good at nothing much!)
Using the <S> squad orders system, a squad needs to be ac<t>ivated and sending it on a mission like Kill or Move can result in upset dwarves if you forget about them.
The hospital seems to work reasonably well, though restricting a doctor to a hospital burrow won't neccessarily force him/her to perform surgery any sooner. Mixed succes is reported for plaster casts, but at least a bruised toe is no longer reason for eternal bedrest. (no guarantees though)
Debris/refuse of some non-compostable creatures like beetles has a chance of being removed on seasonal change.
Haven't had much unexpected deaths in my nobles list since I changed to 12....maybe I'm adapting.
Letting your computer go into hibernation while running DF will still make it crash on saving, but this will not corrupt the save. so no foul.
Stable or not, our wet and warty Overlord is getting ready to release a new version any time now. New and improved features focusing more on adventure mode though.
