Well congratulations on being accepted.

Unfortunately, all the aid I can offer is equipment, most of which can't be used by you until you reach a higher level. (Equippable items are limited by level, alignment, and/or class).

It's a shame that so many people are offline at this hour, curse you time zones.

Holy crap, this is engrossing. I signed up as drakestone, a mage. A firestorm just started over the guild, I'm amazed. I've never really stuck to an MUD before, but this may just do it for me.
E: I think the avatars are all afk, I've asked for name approval twice in pray and no response

Mages are awesome.

Maybe I'll get back into this...

The magic is awesome too. There's not only offensive spells but you get creation spells where you create random objects and other stuffs. Not sure how useful the non-combat stuff is, but meh. At what point does the epic stuff like you mentioned in the 3rd post start happening? Need to be a high level?

You need to find a clan. The last few times I played I usually got recruited RIGHT before reaching level 20 (And getting kicked out of the newbie clan) by some random clan.

Some clans are very restrictive about who does what, but those clans usually are looking for some experienced multiclass/hero players. The clans I joined in the past took me through things I found exciting (Trading at level 21, shipping at level 26). What they're usually looking for are characters around level 21-ish, max level is 31 before switching to another class, and if a group member is more than 10 levels weaker than the highest level group member, the entire group suffers a massive experience penalty.

If all else fails, you can ask to purchase a personal frigate (A steal at 10 million base gold) to go exploring around.

I say the best thing we do is find one guild who'll take us and have all of us join it. We can pool our loot and think what else to do from there.

On a side note, I hear this weekend's going to feature double experience days, which I'm sure all of us who are playing can certainly use.

Joined in as Kevkul, haven't gotten very far yet but I'm going to be giving it another try today. What client do you guys use? Their custom one? zmud which apparently supports their tileset thing or something else entirely?

I use Mushclient. I haven't had time or will to reprogram my old scripts so I just use quick-keys for now.

Don't suppose I can just be myself as a blacksmith for hire; no crafting?

Afraid not. Come to think of it, do any MUDs have crafting?

Afraid not, aside from Dragon-hide equipment which you're not getting for quite awhile.

I also checked out the neat little screenshot section on their custom client, it looks eerily similar.

*Ponders what MUD he should play*

Are there any feasible plans for a "Slaves to Armok" clan?
