How can I use some of those custom scripts that were linked a few pages back?

You'll need to use the mudmaster client in order to use those scripts.

Well, I've went ahead and petitioned to join clan 56, Crimson Crusaders.
1. They do a bit (a lot) of everything. Shipping, Trading, Eq'ing, Etc.
2. They have an absolutely sexy 60 HP bonus on joining.
3. They're willing to kick inactives for a bunch of newbies like us.
4. They have a lot of experience that we can all benefit from.

I'm using MudMaster, I just need to know how I get them in.

Hey Zarikor,
To answer your question, I have a general idea of how many of you there are  ;D
I'm here to represent Clan #10, The Order of the Silver Crescent, and we are looking to enroll active newbies. because there is a clan limitation of 51 per clan, I can take about roughly ~10 of you active members.

I would encourage you to start your own clan, but that would probably be far, far in the future as it requires close to 1 billion gold.

Some amenities I can offer for my clan:
-Koin, our clan leader, is probably the most famous person in Med.
-PK Protection: I am a very strong hero class that loves engaging in Player Killing. I make it my #1 priority to prevent other PKers from messing with my clanmates.
-Advice. Yes I have been here for a while and can offer you guys advice ranging from all aspects of the game.
-Social Clan. Unlike many other clans where they require you to devote a chunk of your time to running equipment zones, our priority is to keep it chill. As long as you're a cool dude/dudette then you will probably fit in nicely.

Please let me know if there are any questions. I'd love to enroll most(all) of you to our humble clan. You can find me on Medievia under the name "Hrathgar", or here :)

One of the menus up top should have "Read Script" click that, find your script, click it open.

While we're talking about scripts, is there a way to load scripts automatically like it does with the two starter scripts?

@Hrathgar: that sounds pretty good to me.

Gah, so many choices.

I'll leave the decision to the rest of you, far be it for me to decide all of our futures.

Well, then the easiest way for 'the rest of us' to decide would be to vote.

All for joining the one blaze found say 'Blaze'

All for the one that came here representing clan #10 say 'Hrathgar'

If neither sound good to you, post whichever clan you looked up and found good.

I say Hrath.

mudmaster scripting is pretty easy. The syntax is a breeze. I would offer you guys my scripts but to much has changed for them to be usefull from what I've heard you all mentioning here. There were never killer tree's around when I was running the main continent, for example. The beauty of mudmaster is you can echo shit to yourself or the internal chat client. So you fill an array with data and then you can pick an choose what runs will net you the most loot by saving the data from multiple trade posts. That is, if they haven't changed trade basic to much.

I'm gonna go with Hrath since we need a clan and I'm tired of getting three or four people linking me for a clan invite a day.

Thanks for all the positive outlook, all. I promise you guys will not regret it. I feel like many players can bond easily and with longevity in our clan; other clans I feel if you become slightly inactive they remove you to bring in more active members who can contribute to their good stats.

Also, Regarding MUD clients, I suggest MudMaster, it's the easiest to use. I don't do advanced scripting haha but rather find their more simple aliases and macros beneficial to every day. For example, if I see {You are thirsty} I automatically have it {chug water}, since it can sometimes pop up in a fight and I'll miss it. For magic users, I alias {spellup} to {c armor;c bless;c detect invis...} etc.

Also, don't forget to set Map Font (Help Map Font) for MudMaster and SetItem both if u havent already :P

*edit*
oops, forgot that i did use scripting for MM, but it was for chatting. I'd have the HP and Mana displayed in my chats which was bound over a shortcut. I borrowed it from someone lol, didnt do it myself.

Yeah mudmaster scripting is really fun. I can't program at all but took care of all my scripting needs because the language is so simple. If all you guys are all playing together someone should host a chat server. That way lag, crashes, death or whatever are no bar to communication. I never hosted one myself but heres a program I know lots of clans used to use: http://www.powerplayhouse.com/mmchat/

I found an old website that was the best source of info still up in archive.org: http://web.archive.org/web/20071024131746/http://www.darknomads.com/

Too bad you can't search the autoquest database anymore. Zone walkthroughs and tips and tricks sections still helpful.

Lets do Hrathgar, I've already joined and I think someone else might have. They seem pretty chill.
