You lookout the window and see...nothing. You do, however, catch a whiff of a very acidic smell before the Ark's air filtration kicks in, and you can hear a loud, rythmic thumping, which shakes the ship every so often.
wolfchild: Sarin, CrafterTake the stone and 1 litre of water, polish the stone with the water, then imbue the water into the stoneAttempt roll 1: 1 + 20 = 21
You hork the rock and a litre of water from storage, and attempt to polish the rock, trying to give it the appearance of an ocean-tumbled stone. However, you find yourself oddly drawn to the stone's strange glittering patterns, and find yourself unable to concentrate long enough to accomplish anything.

Quality roll: 5
Influence roll: 58 + 5 + 10 (log) = 73
Taking two teak logs from the ship's hold, you set to work willing one of them to mold itself into an image of your god, Ptah. Slowly, a face begins to emerge - a face so clumsily formed it is barely recognisable as Ptah at all.

Criptfeind: Jorn, GathererI will go into the void and gather.Attempt roll: 2 + 20 = 22
You leave the ship, fall out of the doorway and land in a large pool of foul-smelling muck, and immediately fall unconscious from the stench. When you wake up, you realise you have no time to gather anything before the ship closes up for the day, and hurry back inside - noting that it would be best to wear an enviro-suit next time to avoid another embarassing accident.

Attempt roll: 81 - 10 = 71
Quality roll: 58 (The RNG really likes this number, I see.)
Influence roll: 92 + 58 + 1 (1L water) = 151
Taking a litre of water, you sit down at your workbench and begin sculpting. Despite the difficulty inherent in using a liquid as a solid, you easily shape the water into a shimmering image of Ptah creating the universe, increasing the surface tension until it feels as hard as stone.

Try as you might, the log refuses to bend to your will. You are not amused.

Some lucky breaks here (especially with that statue LAAT made), but gathering rolls weren't quite so lucky. Remember, it's best to limit actions to things that will only give experience in one skill - for example, turning a log into a sculpture of a tree would be alright, as it would only give woodworking experience, but planting it and making it grow in the same action would be more difficult - that would give botany experience, thus giving experience in two skills.
Therefore, from now on, if you attempt something like this, two attempt rolls will be made - one for each part of the action that gives a different skill. However, you will only gain half the experience in each skill that you normally would, whether you succeed both rolls or not.
Also, guess where we are and win a prize!
