Ever wondered what would happen if some relative newbies and a couple of experienced players did a succession game? Wonder no more, dear friend! My money is on Starve To Death, though Eaten By Local Wildlife is a strong contender.
This game is still getting all of its stuff together, and is admittedly a rather disorganized mess. I kinda like it that way.
Players currently:Jerm
Fivex
V12US
Canalan

Tsarwash
iceball3
Flagrarus

Your turn is three RL days long, during which time you'll play the fort for 1 year of game time. Your 3 day turn begins and ends at Midnight Eastern Standard time (that's GMT -5 presently).
The last current save, by goodguy3, at the end of the year 1052 is at:

People seem to want dwarves named after them, which is a little odd to me (what if he dies/is eaten?) but okay fine. I'm new to succession games, and it seems to be the norm. Note that it is also okay to do semi-nasty things to the dwarves of players who have dropped out.
There's few 'rules'.1. Don't intentionally break or sabotage the fort. That's just not cool.
2. Insane or sane projects are fine. Traps, drawbridges, magma pumps, aboveground castles, mazes, bowling alleys, you name it.
3. Label your levers.
The schedule:You have 3 days to play a year of the fort. You should get a PM or a note on this board when the previous player is done. Download the file, and play a year. Upload the save, PM or post here to let the next player know that he/she is up.
If you have not uploaded by the time the other player's turn starts, we'll give a few hours, but then you get skipped and we move to the next player, who downloads the previous save and continues the process.
Similar for write-ups, they need to be done in a timely manner. Either during your turn, or within 24 hours of the end of your turn. Beyond that and we just miss your writeup, which will make everyone sad. If you don't like writing tons, a simple brief recap is fine. If you like writing, then write away! Entertain us!
When it is your turn, it would be mighty kind of you to post and let us know that you've got it, so that we don't end up sitting around twiddling our thumbs while you backpack through the Himalayas.
If you finish early and upload, sure, we'll bump the schedule up a little. Be sure to let me know, and the player that's next in line.
We'll keep it going round and round as long as its fun and we're not all dead of starvation.
I'll put other good stuff in this here post as it continues.
