JanusTwoface, if you had a nightkill, who would you target?

Night kills are safe (won't end the game, at least tonight and there's no protection/war vet).  Right now, I would probably just choose someone at random, although Scatterbrain followed by shibdib would be tempting because I have less experience reading either.

Janus:  Oh hater of lurkers, you're the last to post.  What's your excuse?

Labor Day weekend and all that jazz.  I'm back.

Toaster: Why did you vote me?

The Brotherhood of Serious Business - A Proposition
...

Why in the world did you post such a crazy long blob on this?  And that's even coming from me.  Saying "We need to find the Jester.  We should set up a loop of inspections" would have been just fine.  It's not a bad idea, just wordy.

See my last bit for my thoughts on this.

Can I unvote and not vote any1... no1s really done anything worth voting on them for

Two ways usually (no reason to believe otherwise).  You can unvote and not be voting anyone or you can specifically vote to No Lynch.  The latter raises the possibility of hammering No Lynch with 5 votes while just not voting won't.

webadict, can you confirm the previous paragraph for this game in specific?

Why I'm voting No Lynch myself is simple.  There are two players who would end the game on a lynch right now, so we have a 25% chance of hitting them.  Each would make 2 players happy (Jester -> Jester & Survivor, Townie -> Townie & Survivor) and the rest of us sad.

In addition, we all have an inspection.  I'd expect that the Mafia and SK will want to use their kills tonight, but everyone else will and should probably use their inspection.  Tomorrow we can share our findings (optionally).

One advantage of everyone choosing without informing each other (rather than a circle) is that we have a chance of outing liars and can use elimination to figure out the rest (hopefully).

Janus: It was pretty much an RV to get your attention.  I wouldn't say we were out of RVS then.  You've talked, so unvote Janus.

Per the role PM list, all the inspects can be used "at any time."  Would day inspects change your no-lynch proposal?  Ok, I forgot the "no no lynch" too.  Still, what do day inspects do to your thinking?

RTFM, there are no no lynches.

Missed that.  If/until the rules change there are still no lynches though:

If there is an unbreakable tie (For various reasons), the game will move straight to Night.

Semi-Hammer/72-Hour Days, 24-Hour Nights

Janus: It was pretty much an RV to get your attention.

Bold names work just as well, IMO.  Fair enough answer though.

Still, what do day inspects do to your thinking?

If any time means any time than I would say we should use them now.  I intend to.  That would just skip the no lynch part of my proposal.

meh, thought it would be more interesting and maybe a bit more persuasive. and i'm a massive write geek.

as for your own proposition, and for everything else... i'll read through this more in a bit and make my mind up then.

Unless anyone has a severe problem with it, I suggest that everyone uses their inspection today.  I already have.

Shibdib:  I've always wanted to try the SK role.

Scatterbrain:  I think it's safe to say your idea has little support.

Is it possible to break this game?  As is, the max number of winners is three- mafia, ally, and survivor.  However, with optimal circumstances, it'd be possible to have everyone but SK and mafia win- have the cult recruit everyone but the SK and mafia.  If the mafia or SK killed the other then !noned while the cult recruited, that'd do it.  If the mafia and SK crosskilled, we could have up to 5 or 4 winners, depending on if a 3 member cult would win with 6 alive including a nonrecruited survivor.

Not really.  It's vote so that you win.  Most of us still have to find the scum (Mafia, SK, and Cult) to win. One main difference is that there is no real informed minority (with only one Mafia).

Largest number of players that can win: 5. There's a few ways to go about this, so here's just one example. They all follow the same basic pattern anyways. Day 1, lynch the sk. Night 1, mafia and cult leader both convert the townie. Lyncher reverts to townie. Day 2 lynch the mafia. Night 2 cult leader converts the mafia ally. Day 3 lynch the jester. Jester wins so win-cons are checked. There's 4 players alive 2 of which are cult so the cult equals the rest of the game in numbers. All three cult members win. That means the townie, mafia-ally, and cult leader. And of course, the survivor wins for being alive when win-cons are checked.
