Warcamp: A tribes-like competitive wargame
« on: August 30, 2010, 12:01:55 pm »

Warcamp is a game in which you are the leader of a Tribe consisting of Goblins, Kobolds, or Troglodytes. There are other tribes you must vanquish, to do so you must create a war party, let loose your wrath via spellcasting, or use other methods.

I claim a spot for my tribe. We are a tribe of Troglodytes. We call ourselves Dargradians. We are led by our Shaman, whose name is Kura the Bloodmoon. We worship the god Rogutta. Rogutta is the bastard brother of Armok. Rogutta shares Armok's love for the spilling of blood. He grants us magical powers from our blood sacrifices.

We will soon rule the world in Rogutta's name!

I don't know why this thread caught my eye, but I'd like to get back into forum gaming.  This one in particular looks like it would be fun to test, and gives me hope for some ideas of my own.

We be the Kobolds of Stlidibithronkus.
Our leader be the great and mighty Shaman Crab-on-Chain.

Troglodytes seem too awesome to go goblin. Sorry. :-\

We are a tribe of Troglodytes, called the Skull-Eyes. Our sub-leader is a Shaman, named Crack-The-Bone.

We call him Crack for short, and say our most effective members are "on Crack".

Oh goody, three Shamans.  This is going to be so much fun.  Good thing there's no fourth player to come along with a Goblin Warlord to zerg-rush us all to death.

I'm a little confused on how turn actions are supposed to take place.  Do I just do as many actions as I feel like assigning people to?  If I leave no one on guard duty, does that mean I'm defenseless if attacked?  Does the sub-leader do any work of his own?

You can assign your tribesmembers in any division of work you choose.
When attacked, everyone of your tribe is present for defense.
Sub-leaders do not do work, but can be sent on attacks.

Aqizzar's hunt brings in (14*3=42) food and (14*5=70) bones.
The Eggsacks have brought forth a pittiful level 2 child.

Put me on the waiting list, if you would.

Also I like how you put the new level 2 in the "Eggsacks" group with its parents.  Silly kobolds.

Troglodyte Orgy. All members breed.

As long as we're at it, what does the "half this number, half rolled for again" mean? You roll once for half the hatchlings, then individually roll each member of the other half?

I collectively roll the level for half the new members, and roll another level for the other half. Eases up on the rolling for me.

Imagine if I had to roll for 150 new tribesmembers. This way I never roll more than twice.

I don't need to wait for the results of IronyOwl's turn to know what I want to do for mine.

Like IronyOwl, I have all 5 of my tribe members breed... in a pit filled with blood. Children of Rogutta learn to swim and develop their taste for blood from the moment of conception.

An incestuous orgy begins!
Two level 3's are born, and one level 2...

Eh, what did you expect from an orgy?
