Could you build a dwarfputer powerful enough to run DF? Or at least an older version of it?
That would be awesome.

Dwarf Fortress is life. ToadyOne is God, Threetoe is a Cherub and Baughn is an Aeon. Capntastic and Rainseeker are Archangels. The almighty Lord was just kind and benevolent enough to give us an early incarnation of his creation to play with.

Proof: Why else would ToadyOne not want to release the source of DF, if he did, we would be unable to comprehend what we were seeing, life itself, and our heads would explode.

What if we're all just hairs in a dwarve's beard, man...

And that dwarf...is a hair on some other dwarf's beard.  WOAH.

And to anyone who's going to ask the obvious question - don't even bother, it's dwarfs all the way down.

You mean beard. It's beard all the way down. Like, dude, a celestial dwarf with a giant beard, like woah.

If the universe is a simulation, I say we stage a halting attack on it a la Accelerando.

Things don't exist until we sense them, for example.
Yes they do. l2physics. You are probably taking about the very common misconception regarding quantum superposition. Superposed objects exist in multiple states at once until any sort of interaction takes place. It doesn't matter if it is us which detects it, it merely matters if anything interacts with it. Or in other words, some states are not decided until said state is neccesary for an interaction, but they do indeed exist.

My question to all this is, if we're just part of a program...
What's the FPS at currently? Will we suffer from FPS death in the future?
