Perhaps he doesn't bother when the community doesn't really need to know because it's not relevant and the thread's locked? That's the only time that I can remember that it happened, although my memory is pretty foggy about that.

If you think it's something like post count, well, first off I don't think Toady would be so... I don't know, petty? You sound like you believe it's the case and that you're bitter about it. Perhaps you should ask Toady. He can tell you better than I can make guesses, I know that.

I found the post count thing very doubtful. Aren't our post counts only recorded in our profiles because Toady finds the concept petty? That's what I was told on the matter, and somehow I doubt Toady would do somthing that seems so out of place. Even if he does, he has never refused to explain his reasoning to us before when asked.
