Hey I'm the one that made that simile, you gotta give credit to me Jackrabbit.

Also yes Dasleah you are awesome.

Was that you? I thought it was Aqizzar and Jude. We mentioned the other things we rubbed over them when we were chatting last night/early this morning.

Some people become so hellbent on one idea or action that they blind themselves from the general, impartial perspective. This happens with passions and specific interests, along with ignorant viewpoints. It is honestly fun to expose people in the act, especially when the person doesn't know about it.

If two people are arguing angrily over the effectiveness of a cobalt warhammer vs a pewter mace, they've lost sight of the overall importance of the debate and the strong negative emotions such a petty deal has made.

What does that have to do with the topic?

You know, if i had a project about serial killing and go public with it and i would get this much attention it would make me think. I have a job a wife a good life...do i really want to get famous as the sick guy who make a serial killer simulator? Something like this can cost you your job and family...maybe i would just panick, say im a troll and there is no game. I would keep my hobby for myself, live my life and not risking anything.
Or hes just a troll.
Eather way it doesn't matter, there will be no game for us.

That would imply that he was indeed hoping for it to be hated or ignored, which wouldn't make sense. I mean, he could have just freaked out at the publicity, but it seems unlikely.

One thing that's kinda irksome: If he was trying to draw attention to it or you know, make it as outrageous as possible, he would've included sexual crimes from the get-go. Oh, and against children, too, HellMOO style. Instead he went with a sort of passive "No, I don't think I'd be comfortable with that in my game," sort of answer.

Exactly. If it was a troll, it was a very nuanced one.

I agree. Making fun of someone is supposed to be fun

Like how you make fun of Fry's stupidity?

Sorry, it's just, since this is a topic about trolls, and i've never had a chance to say that, i just wanted to get the chance. Hope you're not offended man.

It's just a case of "internet balls".
I've met a lot of people which are harmless in reallife, but enjoy spreading hurtful rumors over the internet, insult people there etc.

So yes, I would go with the powerless in the real world, powerful in ther virtual world explanation.

On YouTube?

It's difficult to determine when someone's actually trolling or if they're simply idiots.

Or, he hoped it would attract a only a small playerbase of Dexter's-CSI-Hannibal... fans that would support him and share his passion. ...but having 25th most viewed vid on youtube, getting to RPS and various blogs and many people mentioning how Foxnews will get hold of this. ...hmm, i would freak out.

Admit it. You just don't want to accept that he's never going to publish the game.
