Let's Play Serial Killer, Pacifist Edition
« on: August 28, 2010, 06:49:10 pm »

I posted in the Serial Killer thread that the next post I'd make of that game would be begining the LP of Serial Killer, as a pacifist. And that is exactly what I'll do.

Now, the main problem would be that the Serial Killer game is a...erm...hoax. But there are going to be fools out there who want to create clones. So that's what I'll do. I'll LP those clones if they were sent to me. Give these game designers some "incentive" if you will.

There is a Dexter game for the Ipod, I'm considering trying that out in the meantime.

Are you any good with some ASCII paint? What about making a hoax LP to a hoax game? Could be fun...

A hoax LP would be the most fun thing ever to do. Especially since you can rig the pictures to be however you want, you could give the game alot of crazy features, like some sort of real-life Sburb or something.

It isn't really what I'd call a "Hoax Letsplay" though I have no idea how you mix mockumentary with letsplay

Mock-a-letsplay...

Ok... I can't do anything about it.

I don't think creating a hoax LP would be good...because it'd be boring for me. The interesting thing about LPing Budget Hero, Hidden Agenda, or Conflict: MEPS was that I didn't know what was going to happen next. If I create a hoax LP, I would know, and that would be rather boring for me.

Though...I think I could make my own Serial Killer game, and thereby inspire others to do "clones" of that game, clones that I could then actually LP. It would have to be a very low quality game, though, with very few features. And I don't really like to LP Serial Killer-style games; the reason I made this thread was because I made a promise in the locked one.

Hey, can I get your permission to copy your idea somewhat? And do my own faux-LP of the SK RL?

Don't you mean general tabletop games?

If nobody makes a SKRL you should do it that way.

And the first clone was born.

I'd say the biggest variable in LPs are what the forumites request.  So make up your game, decide generally how things will happen when people make suggestions (and when people don't make suggestions), and let it roll.

Good luck to all!
