Confused on how to actually play, I have downloaded it, extracted it double clicked on Irisu.exe...
Click on the top menu choice and the game closes down itself...
The second shows the Pic album, right clicking goes back, left click does nothing cause I haven't unlocked the pics,
and the third shows the Highscores.
Clicking what I think is the Title changes the music...

Are you running it with the correct region placement and such?

You can use Applocale to set it appropriately.

Sadly I lost the Windows XP CD a few years ago, so I can't install the right language files...

Microsoft Applocale.

You can also change your entire computer's locale setting and it should run.

Shameless extreme necromancy and self-promotion: There's an English patch, extract it into the game folder.

If the game closes when you click start, it's because you may need to run it as an administrator. It creates text files which may conflict with any UAC settings.

Oh, this. Never played, but I've heard things about it. Sounds like decent fun, though.
By fun do you mean fun? Or just fun?

I read the story (translated) and still didn't understand most of it.

I'm not sure which part of that background is more disturbing- the cat that just hung itself (top right) or the one to the left of it with what appears to be an extremely phallic banana.

I remember reading about this--"relaxing" doesn't exactly describe it.

...I know it has its own TvTropes Darthwiki page...
And a mention on "Surprise Creepy" and all the "Nightmare Fuel" pages, especialy "High Octane" (deliberate).

Only other game that has the normal/DarthWiki duality I can think of is Eversion.
And we all know that Japanese games tend to take interesting devices to extremes.

So, yeah. Japanese Eversion: the puzzler. Extra Disturbing Edition!

Do not forget the cat in the microwave ;)

EDIT: That's the only one I noticed. Then I look closer and notice

I never understood the banana one. I know that fruits/veggies are poisonous to cats in large amounts, but considering the other stuff, it really doesn't fit in.

There already is a scribble of a cat eating poison anyway.
