Yes it is a cervical collar except mine goes all the way down to my lower stomach. I broke my back and my neck in 2 places luckily I am not paralyzed. I do have about 4 more months of recovery left before I can work again but even then I will be very limited.

Wood is pretty much functionally identical, as far as I remember, but let's stick to oak.

The type of wood can be pretty important. The density difference in bloodthorn arrows and oak arrows could be enough to kill someone, rather than have them make an epic comeback.

Well lighter is better, so featherwood i think is the best.

Just stick to the rules regarding wood, if oak is the wood in the rules then use oak.  My 2 cents anyway.
