Wow.  Just, wow.  Plus, look at how deep that mine is!!!  Holy crap!  Cave-ins suck a lot, even IRL.

Well, hydration isn't just H2O.  Pure H2O actually depletes your body of electrolytic salts and kills you, if you're not repleneshing them somehow.

So, most likely, they're sugar-and-salt tablets designed to be put into relatively small amounts of water (or urine).

According to a local newspaper, they seem to be much more concerned about the lack of an established still - it said they were joking that beer delivery probably wasn't possible. Obviously, that was before they were told they'll probably have to sit it out for quite a while yet.

I wish for them all to get back home safely, but there's that little part in the back of my brain that just can't help wondering if they're close to the caves yet...

at least their nowhere near HFS... unless they found it, having to seal them away with a cave in, which produced a shock wave creating another cave in higher up... *shivers*

Hmm. I say if the civ country is to lazy to save them, time for them to grab their picks, and get digging.

The article says they actually have about 2 kilometers of space to walk around in.  Sounds like plenty of space to get a decent fortress up and running, as well as get away from people for a bit

Sounds rough, like a prison.  I spent a couple months in a car with a very good friend of mine one time, and we were about ready to throttle one another by the end.  I'm hoping having a couple dozen guys to talk to down there will make it bearable, but man, I'd be hard pressed to choose 30 of my co-workers to get stuck in a hole with.

This is the second thread on this, but I believe the other one is in GD, so it's all good.

Anyway, these guys are hord corps, and I'm rooting for them all to get out alive.

If they are anything like the coworkers I've worked with, they will smile and wave to each other but secretly hope the ceiling collapses on the others... muhwahwahwa.  Time to go for that management position.
