Roth: Find a blacksmith for hire.

(5) You annoy the people on the ferry with questions about blacksmiths. Finally someone mans up and tells you that, indeed, he is a blacksmith. He, however, continues to explain that he currently cannot perform blacksmithing, as a) his tools are in the cargo room, and anvils are heavy and b) doing something involving high temperatures without permission on a wooden (read: flammable) ship strikes him as heavily foolish. However, he could perform his labor when arriving at Sludgehome, he finishes his explanation.

Bjorn: Fashion a sling to wear my casket as a backpack..

(5) You go into the cargo room, nick a strip of cloth and make it into a sling, storing your casket in it.

Alf: I walk to a secluded area and swing the cleaver around to get a feel for it, but not swinging hard enough that it goes flying or anything.

(2) You walk into the cargo room, swing the cleaver and... oh, it goes flying. It seems it is balanced for throwing, not smashing people with.

You retrieve your cleaver.

Ochita: Take all of mr everythings stuff.

(2) It appears that Mr. Everything has no stuff!

Don Fernando: Check out my crossbow's "machine crossbow" setting!

(5) You remove your loincloth in an almost certainly adult-rated scene I will refuse to describe further (someone, pass the brain bleach. PLEASE), and then you activate machine crossbow mode. It turns into a crossbow that, apparently, shoots machines. This is what you conclude after pulling the trigger, anyways.

Your crossbow is now unloaded, and you have a piece of weird machinery you don't know the function of.

Sarge (NPC): be a useless shit

(3) Despite making an effort to do so, he does not manage to hinder the ship's crew at all.

There is a dot on the horizon. Somewhere some cat is meowing.

Roth: Examine the dot.

(4) The dot appears to be closing in. It seems to be a ship with a black flag. You do not have a good feeling about this.

Bjorn: Succumb to unfathomable casket. (AI)

(5) You fly into a frenzy, hammering at the casket with your bare hands. It isn't even dented.
In frustration, you stab the casket with your spear. Still no reaction.
You mutter the most foul insult you can think of. The casket springs open.
After looking at what's inside, you quickly seal the casket again.

Alf: I look around the cargo hold for better clothing, or at least stuff that isn't burnt and ripped.

(6) You join forces with the incoming Ochita and use your power of friendship... actually, the power of the Mr Everything battering ram to open up a secret compartment full of armor and weapons. You outfit yourself in two layers of plate mail instantly.

Ochita: Go into the hold to look for weapons. Mr everything shall be our merchant/shop/mule.

(6) After successfully opening up the secret compartment together with Alf, you find a really nice stabby - oh, is that a dwarven flamethrower?!?!?!?!

You equip the flamethrower.

Don Fernando: Use the machine to re-load my crossbow.

(5) Using your mechanical skills and your crossbow's module system, you affix the machine onto your crossbow. It now automatically reloads at the end of a turn, but goes into a random mode after that.

Your crossbow now is in CAUTION CAUTION mode, whatever that means.

(1) From behind a crate pounces the kitten and... lands on the Sarge... and passes out due to the severe stench of very cheap alcohol.

Sarge (NPC): Quit being a joke of a sergeant.

(3) Alright, time to man up and lead this sorry bunch of... wait, is that a kitten?
He pets the kitten.

The dot of the horizon now identified as a ship moves closer, into hearing range. You can hear some pretty badly-sung drinking songs that appear to circle around bottles of rrrrrum.
