The interrogator leans over, running her claws through the dwarf's beard. "You like yer lovely beard, do ye not?" The dwarf nods slightly, never taking his eyes off her. She stands and walks around behind him. He can hear the sound of the door opening again. "Jerrin, darling? Oh, there ye are! Jerrin, be a good little pup an' go fetch mum the trimmin' shears."

"This is either the most brilliant... or absolutely the most daft idea you've yet had."

The two coyotes stood staring up at the wooden monstrosity before them.

"Isn't it?"

The captain turned to look at his engineer companion."It's a boat."

"I know, ain't she lovely?"

"But it's a boat."

"Yes, but this is a very special boat. Y'see, rather than having to be pushed along by oars, or pulled about aimlessly by the wind, I've devised a new method of propulsion." The engineer climbed up onto the deck and up to one of many large wheel-like contraptions. "The design is based partially on that of our wagon-pullers, so someone need only step inside and start to run", he used one paw to gently turn the wheel, "and it operates these devices here on the sides", he pointed to two much larger wheels attached to the sides, with many large paddles protruding from them. These were also now turning. "... which propel the whole vessel smoothly through the water."

"So will it work?" the captain asked him.

"Well, in theory..."

"Flavvius"

"What?" the engineer replied, startled to hear his personal name.

"You're doing it again."

"What?"

"Theory. Flavvius my dear friend, every time you say that word, something horribly catastrophic happens. Tell me, when is the last time any of your ape-brained theories has ever worked?"

"I... don't really remember", he replied.

"and therein lies the problem."

Edit: Augh! I cant remember what weapons I gave Jencull's group. They have bronze chainmail yes, copper crossbows yes, bronze bolts yes, copper throwing axes yes. However what were their melee weapons? Bronze shortswords? Jencull also had a special weapon, an iron battle axe or sword or something, damnit, Fenrir would remember, if he wasnt continually vanishing.

The captive dwarf glared at the wall to the point where it might have collapsed if stares had a physical force. Calmly he spoke, "I'll ask ye again then, where are the others? Things were looking more out of place at this distance, it was certainly no dwarf fortress. But something told him there was something bad about it. Bad, very bad, he was sure, he felt sure. There were things there too, bad things, nasty things. There were dwarves that needed help. How did he know? He didnt, but he felt it. In a whisper Jencull spoke, "Alright lads, theres somethin' wrong about this place, we're goin' ta investigate a'right? We'll sneak in from the trees, they will nay know what hit em."

"Greentoes, I dislike being idle like this, surely we are going to take action?"

Greentoes looked up from his paperwork and frowned, "Kylken I told ye we will nay risk any more lads, and did I not tell ye ta get back to priestin' or whatever?"

"It's cold up on the mountain you know."

"Aye sure, but theres a perfectly good chapel here in the capitol, so shoo. Do ye know how busy I am anyway? Just go! Take a nap or something, these things always sort themselves out."

"Not without action Greentoes. Hermatus will not be happy with you."

Suddenly there was some lightning near the gaming board and Ukko, storm god, manifested. He was an oldening man with bright blue eyes, that sometimes shot small lightnings, he was wearing fur boots and loincloth and his upperbody was covered with a wolf rug. "here's a game?! why don't ye scum ever tell me anythin'?" Ukko threw some pieces on the board and took himself a chair, concentrating on the board beginning to plot on some plan to destroy all.

Hrafn, the Storm giant king suddenly awakened on his grand throne. He had felt a pull in his dreams... a pull to conquer. as if somebody wanted him to go forth to war. Nay that he was going to object of course. He ordered the horns of the castle to be sounded so that he could assemble his men for speech.

As the salty water touched the skins of the Aegean party, they felt more alive than they had ever known before in their lives.  This was their true home, their true destiny.  They had finally reached the sea...

Fins glimmered and muscles pulled taught as the group sucked in their new life and flew through the water and incredible speeds that they had never known before.  The water cradled them and pushed them forth, its utter endlessness fulfilling their every desire.

This close to shore, the water was muddied and turbulent, but there were glimpses of the open water beyond, and all the grand secrets it held.  

They had finally arrived at their destination.  They had come home for the very first time.

The priests brought unwrapped the faintly glowing communion pearl and gave it to the elders, so that they might consult with Yagesh and lead the rest of the Aegeans to their god's chosen citadel site.  Communicating with the god would be difficult, however.  The pearl was  no longer supported by a pedestal that bore runes which strengthened the innate magic inside it, and as it jostled around in the current, the images that were displayed within became cloudier than normal.

They held faith that their god would make his wishes clear to them, and that he would lead them to a glory they had never even dreamt of.  All praise to Yagesh, King of Seas.

[Impending Doom]

Imp looks up from his morning bowl of elves, glances around the table, then thinks for a minute. After a moment's pause, he speaks. "Well, I s'pose if you lot can run rivers an' kick up storms, then I can do this."

The earth trembles, the living rock lets out a mighty roar as tectonic plates grind past each other at an astounding rate. Slowly, steadily, the mountains of the east settle once more, greatly changed.

Flavvius awoke in a cold sweat. He had had another one of those visions. He had dreamt of many things: of water, of earth, and chief among them, the image of a great white wheel. But this one was different. The great lord Imp had appeared to him, and had whispered something to him. Something that his concious mind now struggled to remember. What fate had his god ordained for him? What was his message? Flavvius tried vainly for a few moments to fish that tantalizing morsel from the haze of his subconcious...

(OOC: Thats fine, godly powers are fully acceptable. What did you do anyway? I see the massive water basin in the east was squished a bit, but thats all. As for the giants, they're fine too, as long as they aint too giant. 50% larger than humans would be fine, but twice as big would be the upper limit.)
