Of course my champion is currently sitting on one so it won't show up yet.  Also my dracon do not like forests so they won't get that stealth bonus for being in a forest even if surrounded by trees. I assume they just clearcut the area and use it for charcoal.

The forest was still. Jencull was uneasy, anything could be waiting in ambush. He was certain something was here. There was no turning back now, he started the short journey that would take him inside the darkness of the woods.

The bridge was completed without any problems. Greentoes was pleased. He sent another migrant group packing up north. He drank fine beer, he ate good cheese. He wondered how Jencull was doing.

Kylken watched as the fortress began construction. These workers had better finish this soon or he would be call the hammerer, oh yes.

[OOC] Sorry mate, but I've been busy modding.  I haven't even played DF for a few days aside from testing, which doesn't really count.

I'm also a bit tired right now to do any major writing, and I'd like to get back to my modding efforts.  I'll move my pieces up a spot on the river anyways, just so they're closer to their goal.

After enduring a long night of the horrifying cacaphony around them, the expedition finally convinces their leader to head deeper into the forest to seek out Quagh.

The coyote soon encounters a large werewolf group coming toward them from the south. Each werewolf carries a quantity of wood. One steps foward and addresses him. "Quagh is occupied with other matters I'm afraid." he says, "As promised, here is the wood."

"Well, yes. b-but that's not why I came. Well, ah, first, what in Imp's name is that racket? We've not been able to get any sleep. Is something the matter? Should... should we be worried?"

Kylken's Compound was complete! This was a grand day indeed, the grandest infact! He looked out across the cold mountains to see the world. Lush forests, shining rivers and deep lakes. Vast deserts, dusty badlands and cruel cliffs, just beyond the dusty air of the east. He looked down at the closer forest but Jencull's group was nowhere to be found. He must have reached the forest by now. Looking at an interesting pool deep within the forest he ordered a messenger be sent. Something was down there and at this distance he didnt know what. Soon he would know.

The five dwarves crept along ahead of the migrants, Jencull at their lead. He swore he heard a twig snap nearby, but he saw nothing. The groups tension rose, something was going to jump out at them, they could tell...

Meanwhile at the river, passing dwarves were oblivious to the massive group that swam so close. Guards on the bridge more concerned with what was passing over it than under it.

(OOC: with a group so large it will be no easy thing passing under the bridge. Its construction shallowed and narrowed the river creating a bottle neck. The dwarves dont notice now, but when a massive group of aquatic peoples starts pushing and shoving to get under they definetly are.)
