It works for me, but it didn't today, anyway i have discovered a pattern, every month or so i find a random link to TvTropes and spend several hours on it, then i don't touch it or come near it, utill i forget what happened last time and i fall into the same trap, but i'm not complaining :)

Uh...
1) Doesn't mean that all of the pages involved, including the "most recent edits" page were not cached
2) Caches last forever and a day..  or until you wipe them.  One of the two.
3) I've never seen it "say" that you're viewing a cached version of a page.  Ever.
