I move to the crime scene and try to determine where the victim was standing when he was shot from the blood spatter and the position of the body, and If I can, from what angle. I can hopefully determine the height of the person who shot him

OOC: Someone should dust the knife handles for prints btw

Compare shoe print with victim's shoes. If there is no match, attempt to identify what type of shoe and the shoe size that made the mark.

Check to see which channel the TV is on.

This could be important.

I don't see how...lol
Here's an idea-check the victims ID, cellphone, computer, or answering machine etc. We need to establish a list of friends and co-workers, possible suspects when matched against the tapes. They ALL need to be brought in for questioning. Like now!

...For some strange reason I thought we were waiting for someone.

Turn 2-Too much, too little

Spoiler: Actions and Rolls (click to show/hide)

David attempts to pull the tape out of the player while it's still playing. This causes it to break, effectively nulling it. (Don't worry, the case is STILL SOLVABLE) He knows that this will seriously hamper the case, but he can still do it.

Back at the crime scene, Desmond tries to set up the body to see how he was shot-turns out, it was stabbing and bashing against the wall. It's pretty obvious that the murderer didn't think about having to kill someone for whatever he was doing. While that was happening, Amanda was taking prints of everythingin the room. However, she still needs to scan them.

Steve walks through the rightmost door to find a bedroom, with a wardrobe and a.... safe? He tries to open it, and does so, probably besmirching any prints on the safe beforehand. Inside is a piece of paper reading "I. O. U. 5000$, Carolyn J. Andrews, 806-241-3182" It appears that the woman owes the victim a lot of cash. Oddly enough, there isn't any cash IN the safe.... luckily there are still prints in there.

Johnny observes the shoeprint in the middle of the table. It doesn't belong to the victim, but he works them out to be Pike (pronounced Pik-E) sneakers-favoured by criminals for their high grip and low sound. Judgng by the indent it made, it was either made by an average-weight person with a big sack of something... or just a fat man. The prints lead from the middle room, onto the table and out the room.

While all that is happening, Hreag watches a blank screen. Good on him.

Steve:

Report this new development to the other investigators, and call this 'Carolyn' woman up if I get the go-ahead.

Lol, destroying evidence? We're gonna be the most inept cops ever >_>

I carefully look for evidence of the victims contacts-adress books, cellphone, business cards etc.

Do some hardcore profiling. Does what we know about this Carolyn woman fit the profile of a murderer?
