Just watched episode one... and I have to agree, that was awesome.

The characters are twisted, but in a brilliant way.  When you think about it, it does seem odd that the clue driven trap maniac was always presented as a sensible and down to earth guy...

Hey, almost every shot of Velma makes me think of Rosa Lalonde from MSPA.  Must be the eyes.

Episode 1 was great... in fact it seems to be head over heals above the other episodes.

Did anyone else notice that the introduction victim from episode two is very familiar looking, like a certain actor that drove a certain caravan in a certain movie.

Spoiler: 'twas him (click to show/hide)

"What other episodes have you seen?"

Up to episode 4... I am waiting for the humor to swing back up.

I just can't stand the Shaggy and Velma relationship much longer though. Have the writers BEEN in a relationship?

old shows

Liquid Televsion, man. Back in the day when MTV hadn't been given over totally to 13-year-old girls, that shit was amazing. A show where animators just go fucking crazy making shorts. Some of them are still with me in my memories. Aeon Flux? Got her start there. Beavis and Butthead? There. The MAXX? There. A bunch of others. There are times I wish Adult Swim had that kind of creative spark, but most the time they're just too hung up on goofy stoner humor. Everyone treats animation like a delivery for kid's shows, comedy, or anime. There's nothing that defies all those genres anymore. Some anime shorts are great, but as a genre it seems like no one is interested anymore.

Liquid Television was great though because it had a really pure vibe for the longest time, just dedicated to awesome, random animation. I wish someone would do that again.

What's wrong with it?  Ever see a dog cock-block someone?

The 45-54 are the old timers who saw it in the past forms.

I still watch Scooby Doo unironically if it's on in the mornings. It's usually not intentionally funny but it's still fun.

That isn't the problem (though it was a bit of an over-reaction later...)

The problem is Shaggy is unromantic, undashing, and overall uninterested in a relationship

While Velma is pushy, arguementative, and doesn't seem to find Shaggy interesting.

So basically... HOW are they in a relationship? Though as people have noticed this version of Scooby Doo seems deadset on killing Velma's personality. So I can't say I am surprised that Velma for no reason but to be a witch forced Shaggy into a relationship so she has someone to witch to.

Are you implying that they ever had a personality to kill? She is still the awkward brain of the group who wears that sweater everywhere who is now somewhat desperate for a relationship.
