I was not trying to run, I was backing up for another charge, I just didn't expect Maria to run through the rest of the party to get to me. If I had charge-critted her I might have, well, made enough of a dent in her armour that she would have needed to see a blacksmith before attending any more balls...

It's almost as if Maria didn't want you to do that, and had combat feats that let her essentially ignore attacks of opportunity.  ;P

*sighs* May as well take the fighter level, I expect that I have had enough practice to improve upon basic training... Although the level after will definately be commoner, I wouldn't want to take a multiclassing penalty!

RAM, I'll give you the option to exchange/upgrade your Commoner level to a Fighter level if you wish.  This is pretty much only applicable to Commoner levels, since they're basically useless, but it's up to you.

But then, life was also easier when I was running around here pretending to be a man, so I guess I should just "man up" and get back to work.

For the awesome! I mean, they get ride as a class skill, RIDE!!! that is the ticket to the most powerful form of low-level attack!

But every powergamer knows that pure-classed fighters are weak!
