You really can both sig it.
But... That would break the laws of sigging! We can't have everyone running around with the same quotes. IT MAKES THEM UNFUNNY FASTER!

So apparently some students are cursed, and adopting them equates to a death sentence. We are free of the immediate problem, but hostile forces are still after us.
We could try to disappear into the underground.
We could try to gain protection from the authorities.
We could try to negotiate with the homicidal maniacs.
We could try to hide in the wilderness.
We could try to run, far far away, and come back with a Deathstar and redefine the meaning of 'world-destroying artefact'.
We could try to master the world-destroying artefact and go on a revenge spree.

Yes. Do not take Warren as an apprentice.

ALSO: Iituem hasn't posted this, but it was decided we got 3000 XP for those shenanigans. Level 3: Attained!

I took Obtain Familiar (Complete Arcane, Pg81) as my level 3 feat, And chose a Tiny Owl as my familiar.

Also, two new Transmutation spells. Fox's Cunning (PHB) and... Alter Self! (PHB)

Edit: HP Roll.

I suspect you've never tried doing many illegal things yet in your game. The second the CCS knows you're "active", they'll come down on you like the hammer of God.

After escaping the Palazzo with the Doge, the group fought through various foes trying to get to Leonardo the Sane's workshop to get the Doge to safety in the Castro.  Unfortunately, the group was ultimately separated when a familiar-looking woman with a blue cowl and armour stopped the party and demanded return of the 'orb'.  Warren, deducing that this woman was responsible for the murder of his last master, started a fight.  They were doing semi-well against a foe that outclassed them by several levels, but things got bad enough that they had to call in the aid of the NPCs.  Boletta remained behind whilst the nobles continued to get the Doge to the castle, and proved an utter badass before the knight gutted her like a Friday Fillet.  In her last act, Boletta used a spell that consumed her entire body for a sacrificial explosion - it is unknown whether this was enough to kill the knight.

In other words, that's two masters Warren's lost now.

We ran through the alleys, Sven was healbotting because we would have died if he hadn't been, Warren and Olaf going into negatives. Then we dropped Cheng off at a pub, and went to try to get to Leonards workshop, which is where the secret passage got ret-conned to.

But then we met the bitch from the pub again, Warren had a "You killed my master, prepare to die moment," before blinding three guards and scoring a crit with Launch Bolt. Things went slightly downhill from there.

Mreega charged her, but missed. Maria tries to kill both Warren and Mreega, but rolls badly and only hit Mreega, who's now in trouble. Olaf charges into the fray, does some damage but causes no deaths, and then the whiffing begins. Warren runs back, Launches another bolt. Rala charges in and at some point gets critted, but not taken down. Warren jumps onto a nearby rooftop, and then Mreega tries to flee as well, bu gets chased down ad reduced to negatives by Maria.

Then Boletta blindsides the Bitch, blowing her a decent bit down an alleyway. Actually says "Fly, you fools," so we do. Well, the people in the street do, Warren watches from the rooftop for a moment, as she nearly kills the Bitch and one of the goons, then is killed through the back and goes into meltdown, eventually exploding once Warren's had enough time to swear revenge against Maria, who right now is either dead, or not as lucky.

Edit: Bah, ninja.

Also, Cheng gave Olaf a small briefcase full of cut red gemstones as payment in part for rescuing him.  I'll save you the appraise check and tell you they're garnets.  Street value of anywhere between 5000 and 15000 rezzens in total.
