Also, why doesn't make sense than the god of death revives his minions? He's supposed to control death, and reviving minions is what all god's do. (That's why they have armies that never stop coming)
It is a very fine distinction.

A god of DEATH would deal with dead things and/or cause things to die.

A god of UNDEATH would revive dead things, such as corpses and spirits.

A god of LIFE would ressurect dead things, giving them new life.

A good example, in my opinion, would be the Raven Queen in the D&D 4th edition setting. She is the god of death for that setting, but she doesn't have undead minions or anything so crude. She guides the souls of the dead from the realm of the living to whatever their final destination is, watching over them and ensuring that as few souls as possible are lost to oblivion or endless wandering.

A more aggressive take on the role would be her predecessor, Nerull, who actually stole the souls of those who died and bound them to itself to increase its own power.

I'm really not sure how you got God of Death = I can revive things. That would be the opposite of the sphere, I would think.

Glad you said that for me.

Though as a god of Death, your power to kill things would be pretty impressive.

Not as good as a god of Murder's, though.  At least, on a one-to-one basis using knives as a favoured weapon.  I mean, Shaq's almost incapable of sending plagues to ravage the Womb the way the Death Lord can.

Shaq's just discorporated.  He'll reform next turn, and can still hear what's going on in the island, but the island's nullifying effect stops him for incorporating.  Mostly this is because I don't have anything left to do or say this turn.

Yeah, a god of death would be pretty much unparalleled at simply killing someone... or even multiple someones... or even entire species.

Now when/if we get a second sphere, you could (and should! since you seem to be leaning that way) add undeath or something as your second.

I don't even know where I'm heading with the Winter Lord right now tbh, just watching and waiting. I'm playing him as very hands off and uninterested in current events, not just because I have so little time to keep current but because... well that's what I had decided when making him.

We'll see.

Edit: Anyway finally done with my work so I'm going to spend some time catching up on this turn and maybe doing something else.

Well, since I can use dead souls, what happens when you kill a soul?  ???

I'm alright, just reading up now. He all but ignored the dream-summons so isn't really aware of what is going on at the isle, or even that it exists, but I should still know as a player.

It really depends on the paradigm you're using for the setting. In some, the soul is an immortal invulnerable force which can only be change, never created or destroyed. You cannot kill something that isn't alive.

This would really be up to Caesar and what he has in mind for our cosmology.

In the Godhood setting, souls can't be destroyed. They can be changed an mutated, but not killed.

They're mortal beings, nothing else.
