Particularly given that Bubblebeak in your Avatar appears to have been possessed by the spirit of Lennon and is now devouring wildlife.

I doubt it. I know several people who have actual mental instabilities. Its not something you generally advertise if you actually suffer from it, but a lot of people claim to be crazy because they think it is cool.

True insanity is insidious, buried under layers of denial and psychosis.

DINGLEHOPPER
edit: and that's often the case, forsaken, but some people find their mental instabilities as a source of, if not pride, at least jokes.

Besides, we all play DF, and who plays DF and ISNT in some way having misfires in the cranial lobes?

Be that as it may, I still don't believe his act. Its far too 'in-your-face' 'give-me-attention-because-I'm-crazy'.

Yes, his thing looks pretty fake. It's not really something to advertise, but poking fun at it among people who already know about it is pretty common. Can't be taking ourselves too seriously, can we?

Yes, as an in-joke it is fairly common among friends. My girlfriend is prone to bizarre panic attacks and anxiety and we joke about it a lot. "If you saw a squirrel staring in the window at you, you'd think he was plotting something wouldn't you?" etc.

You never know... one of these days days, you'll be oblivious to what is really happening, make what WOULD be a simple and harmless joke, and she will just go beserk... I've seen it happen... It's not pretty...
