See the problem is how do you define 'bad'? Morality is not absolute, but relative to your viewpoint.

In American society today, having sex with anyone under the age of 18 is not only illegal but considered absolutely immoral. Less than a century ago, arranged marriage for 13 year old girls was quite common and even expected of some parts of society. There is no moral absolute you can point to and say 'this is bad' or 'this is good'. Thus an effect that 'kills bad people' would only kill people who YOU think are bad by whatever morals and ethics you believe in, even if whatever 'bad' thing they did was entirely acceptable by their own society.

Also it's a dumb idea.

Exactly, it's really quite subjective. Case in point: Robin Hood. He thought he was doing good, the government so to speak saw him as a common thief.
To apply it to thingy's idea, the ability assumes that whatever they did wasn't protecting or making justice, both of which are also subjective.

Like I said: Morality is not set in stone like it is in DnD and the likes.



What kind of society they form is eventually up to the race themselves, really, although giving them a direction doesn't hurt.
