Put the output file into "%Appdata%\roaming\.minecraft\saves\" as world1, world2, world3, world4, or world5.

Okay, thanks, It's working now, but it's REALLY laggy. Is this normal?

EDIT: It's gone now. I think it was just loading it.

Minecraft indev doesn't exist anymore, so the only version that will work is the one for alpha.

That's all the utility ever says. I have my fort loaded and everything. I don't know what's going on. Is there something I'm missing?

Hey, Notch, thanks for the mention on the IndieGames Podcast #2.
http://www.indiegames.com/blog/2010/09/indiegamescom_podcast_2_minecr.html
It's mentioned at be beginning, about 4:45 in.

Anyway, I have most of the new code ready for easier / proper material conversion in, but buildings aren't quite right as the parts that are supposed to be made out of a specific material aren't showing up at all. I'll have to fix that tonight.  Then I still have to come up with decent conversion for the stone and soil types in Dwarf Fortress, but that shouldn't take too long. I'm not gong to have different wood types, as there is only really one type of wood boards in Minecraft, but if someone else want to do it (maybe using chests or record players for different wood types), you can just modify the settings file.

Hey people
This looks absolutely great, however, having read the whole thread(and knowing next to nothing about programming) I gather the 31.14 version of df is somehow very different to 31.12, so I was wondering if you will just improve the version for 31.12 or make compatibility for 31.14?
don't get me wrong, this is absolutely fantastic where it is right now, however I just want to know, whether to start my next fort in 31.12 or 31.14

This uses DFhack, so upgrading it to support the latest versions is simply a matter of getting the latest DFhack and recompiling.

I can't wait. I have a rather nice fortress I've been looking forward to seeing.
Hmm... I might make a tileset for minecraft that fits DF a bit better- maybe instead of bricks, it's engraved stone walls.

Well that's a flying shame. Oh well, now to either wait until I begin to actually bother with currency or for atheist christmas
