I think I've got it working, it's just a matter of spawning somewhere playable. Thanks for the help!

I find it immensely helpful to use a third party utility to convert the save to creative mode after miecraft converts things for you.

I had actually just looked into that. However, I'm running into a more serious problem - since my map is very tall, the part of the save which is converted to Minecraft isn't really optimal. Is there any way to change the ranges of z-levels which are converted?

yes, there is.

in your dwarf fortress folder, there's a folder called hack (I think) and a file called df2mc.xml.

open that, and there will be instructions.

Hi all! I found this plugin and it was love at first sight. I couldn't convert my fort because of mods >_> however I did convert
dun dun dun drumroll please!

FlareChannel!

WOO PARTY!!!

or I would say that if it didnt hit bedrock and cut off the garden part of it. Is there any way to mess with the plugin to fix this? I would love it if it were possible to put all of flare channel in with all of its glory, I would seriously fix it up.

Well all is fine and dandy and I know all of you want screenies, so without further ado!

Well that last pic is of the sad travesty of justice.... bedrock. Anyone have any good ideas where I can have this fortress up as a whole?

There's a settings file that sets how much will be exported.

Dear lord, after seeing how it outputs up/down stairs

I can see why my dwarfs always get lost.

so what Im getting is that there is no way to choose which output level for this program to start producing on?

It seems to be rendering alot of the uneeded mountain and cutting off the fort at the bottom. I removed all of the air-to-keep blocks and it seems the toplevel variable doesn't do anything? Changing the levels variable doesn't do anything also it seems. Anyone been having any luck with this?

You need to also change the type from smart to one of the others, like range.

Is it possible for you to compile both msvcp100.dll and msvcr100.dll into the executable? I found a tutorial here . http://www.rhyous.com/2010/09/16/avoiding-the-msvcr100-dll-or-msvcr100d-dll/

This would make much easier for some people.

Did you try the recompiled version in the dfhack thread?

http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=91166.0

It's been updated to the latest version of DF.
