They worked in the origonal, they were a bit odd, every door was actually two doors separated by a wall, because it converts tiles 1DF tile to 3MC tiles.  But I can't imagine any better way to have done it.

So I imagine they work here too.

So, total programming noob here, I've just spent the last three hours trying to get this to work... with absolutely 0 success. I'm frustrated and apparently clueless as to how this is supposed to work, which is understandable, seeing how I'm completely unfamiliar with either DFHack or C++, and the ReadMe file seems to presuppose familiarity with both of these. It might be a bit much to ask, but would someone please post a walkthrough of what I'm supposed to be doing here? A PM might be better, as I'm sure I'll have lots of questions.

Type df2minecraft into the dfhack window once you've loaded your fortress.

Step 1: copy defhack to the dwarf fortress directory.

Step 2: run dwarf fortress.

Step 3: type df2minecraft in the command propt that comes up.

It just says "Invalid command" in the dfhack prompt. Is there a particular folder that df2minecraft has to be in? Or are there any requisite programs I have to have already installed (besides dfhack, obviously)?

press ls and see if df2minecraft is listed.

if it's not, get the latest dfhack.

Aha! Thanks for helping me out (I was indeed using an outdated version of dfhack). That did it - although, now I have a file called World 1. How do I load this in Minecraft?

Haven't played MC for quite a while-- is there not a 'save' folder or somesuch in the Minecraft directory? You'd have to place "World 1" in there.
