I have absolutely no idea what's going on in this fort any more. Migrants arrive, they die for some reason, the fort is flooded for another reason, then dwarves go mad, more dwarves die and I'm just laughing in my distress.
you cannot defeat the potato.

Princes are only a slightly bit slower then disciples me thinks, and are at least twice as tough. Apparently their attack speed if faster though. Playing as an undead is fun for a while but gets boring later cause there's no goals for them, yet at least.

Prince is quite a bit slower, .45 Attack speed and all. Still they are fun to play, even is disciples are easier.

Also goal for undead: Take out an army squad.

After breaking the drawer, the zombie seemed content with destroying my defenses and wandered off.
The error you're talking about was a graphical glitch related to the "attacker" icon (a yellow box) appearing in the skill window when the zombie attacked the furniture that was blocking the stairs. They can still, and have always been able to, attack the furniture object on the stairs.

The player not being able to attack furniture on stairs is probably an interface design oversight that'll be fixed eventually, like the asymetric line of sight/fire.

edit - Anyways, here's a link to an image of the impossible-to-move-car emergent gameplay i posted about before:

As you can see, each car has no place to be pushed into; the large barricades can be replaced with small barricades or other cars, or other furniture... As long as no zombie master types shows up to jump cars and break things, it should always be impossible to enter as a zombie; wether they can push things or not.

Hmm, that makes sense.

Looks pretty cool...but I can't get my number pad toggle to work on this laptop, does anyone know another keyboard layout that would work without using numpad?  Like arrow keys+some other keys for diagonals?

As it says in game, use Shift+K I believe to change controls. I know it says the controls are already assigned to the number keys but those are different than the laptop number keys. Just change them there.

No, I meant, I know that you can change the controls, I just can't think of a good other layout to use.
I didn't realize that laptop number keys were read differently than desktop ones, though, so thanks for telling me  :)

The game is riddled with little oversights such as these, but thats why its an alpha anyway :P
You can become permanently stranded if you're on top of a car surrounded by other climbable surfaces if you get below the stamina limit, if there's a zombie around. You can wait and rest to move because the zombie will keep interrupting your wait, so your stamina is permanently low and you can't move.
Pressing num-5 will make you wait a single turn, allowing others to make their move and regenerating your stamina and lowering your hunger/sleep/possibly health while you wait.

But evolving as a Zombie Master takes many more kills, for a fresh zombie you only need 2 kills and you're already a neophyte.

Killing people is easy.

The only thing you need to know is:

1: Run away from cops.

2: They are faster then you so always follow behind, don't ever move next to them because they will only hit you and run away. If you follow behind them they will sometimes screw up and you can get a hit in. Eventually they will die.

Also, remember that they need to sleep, you do not. If they are tired, head bakc and follow their scent for a while. Check basements and homes. Avoid bashing stuff if you can get inside in a less noisy way. Eventualy you'll find some sleeping survivor ready to get chewed.

Also, remember that the more exhausted (sleep deprivation) and hungry they get their reaction times will get slower. A yellow "H" and "Z" mean that the survivor is starving/deprived enough to be as slow as a fresh zombie and you will usually get 2 turns to their 1, making them easy pickings.
