I just downloaded it two days ago, and have the non-installer version (just play it outta that directory) sitting here.

I don't want to try right now:
If I choose _not_ to upgrade upon sunrise... I suppose I will not get 2 skills next sunrise? Why do I even have the option to not upgrade?

Yes, in the same vein that nethack lets you use a wand of death on yourself or invoke a scroll of genocide on your own species. It takes away from the roguelike-ness if you aren't allowed to make horrible mistakes.

Roguedjack said a lot of times that later it should be possible. There's just no system of punishment for that yet. So yeah, right now it's grenades/doors.
