Yeah a GCS with an axe :/. A tantruming dwarf will work much better.
His axe only appears on him, so you could change it to somthing more fitting. Like fangs that you would detach as a weapon after killing it. His basement is really far down, so it just seemed fitting.

I don't see a reason for them to be in deep caves. Only if you can persuade me that they should be somehow.

How would you know that without Alpha 5- Oh god. You went and did it. You went to France and killed roguedjack.

But really, I don't know a lot about modding games. If the ax can't be changed, I would have to agree with it being a berserk dwarf.

I'm guessing the sewers will be a underwater river/lake, but what of the subway?

I'm not sure, but if you can; turn the gang'stas into elves and their music into something more annoying. Some weapon ideas
-Baseball bat into bronze mace
-Golf club into steel long sword
-Crow bar into iron short sword
-Heavy rifle into large crossbow (combat knives should be large bolt, it just seems more appropriate)
-Hammer into lead war hammer
-Shovel into bismuth bronze mace
-Truncheon into wood club

Also, some elves will probably spawn with metal weapons, but oh well! I say bikers should become goblins; it feels more appropriate. Humans or Orcs should be those guys (or pink bunnies).

I just want a pick instead of a shovel, I agree on everything else. Oh, and I thought about stone wrenches for crowbars.

I FINALLY managed to give this game a whirl and I loved it right away. The tutorial thingy is quite awesome, too, to get started.

However I pretty much hate that you have to use the mouse to pickup/examine stuff, because that means it's a pita to play in bed or on the ancient laptop.

Did I miss somehting there? Can I ask the dev guy to implement keyboard controls for those actions?

In the really early versions, there was an inventory mode used to pick things up, but Roguedjack got rid of it around Alpha 3.0 or so.

Okay, I bet all this crap has been asked before, but bear with me:

Can I kill the other civilians on day one (in melee) ? Can I kill them later (in melee)? Just checkin'...

Is there a way to not have the "wanna trade" dialogue everytime you accidentially bump into another civ?

Not really. You'll be allowed to attack non-hostiles in the future, but for now the only way to harm them is through a grenade.
