hmm think there was a way to mark people as "mutual enemy" or something like that. CTRL+E or so?

Yeah, the new version has some bugs with assigning humans as enemies, so you have to manually mark them as your enemy (and I think it may make you a murderer).

I've released a new version of my mod for Alpha 9, it's pretty much what I want from the game. You can get it here: http://roguesurvivor.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=gmods&action=display&thread=264

It's a graphical and gameplay mod.



UI and graphics:
- Total visual overhaul.
- Some icons have been removed  from the creature tiles (sleep/hunger status, activities like fleeing/attacking etc), they've made the interface too busy.

Weapons:
- Pistol is Glock 17.
- Army pistol is Beretta M9.
- Kolt revolver is Desert Eagle.
- Hunting rifle is Winchester 9422.
- Army rifle is M4.
- Shotgun is 20ga shotgun.
- Santa shotgun is a coach gun.
- Hanz pistol is .22 Magnum West.
- Grenades are pipe bombs.
- Jason's Axe is a chainsaw.

Consumables:
- Green pills are adrenaline shots.
- Blue pills are energy drinks.
- Orange pills are D-Stress pills.
- Bandages are painkillers.

NPC:
- Skeletons are rats and other animal mutants.
- All zombies can hear now.
- Vision and hearing ranges have been tweaked in accordance to the actual visible area on screen.
- Male disciples and neophytes are now zombie hulks and behemoths, they get increased hp.
- Female disciples and neophytes are twisted and corrupted, they get increased speed.
- Zombie masters/lords/princes are now zombie screamers/abominations/cyborgs. Less hp, better eyesight.

I forgot to mention two other changes:

- Larger weapons don't get attack bonus (harder to swing with).
- Small weapons get small attack bonus, medium weapons get medium attack bonus (easier to swing and stay out of reach).

So crowbars and machetes are good for low-skill players, and bulky weapons like a chainsaw or a huge hammer are only good for those with melee skills (or to hit slow-moving zombies).

Hmm, i think that i may try this, even tough i'm not a huge fan of roguelikes.

How do i install this?
Do i just copy it in the rogue survivor folder with the EXE in it?

Yeah, you just replace the appropriate /resources/ folder. It rewrites xml files and pictures.

I just had my most satisfying moment in all my time spent playing as a zombie. I was a fully evolved neophyte and I just so happened to have Z agility. I also just happened to spot two national guardsmen sleeping in a house with light barricades at the entrances. Gleefully I jumped their barricades, walked up to one, and oneshotted him. Never even woke up. The other one didn't wake from my quiet dismembering of his friend. So I walked over to him and smacked him. He actually managed to wake up, but my second claw killed him before he could do anything.

Ahh, that was sweet as a fresh glass of Ice-cold coca-cola. I wish there was more to do, a goal or two for zombies beyond kill anything alive. Alas. Making your own goals can be nearly as fun though.

- Realtime
- Blocky "cheesy retrolol graphics" but not a Minecraft clone.
- Game is being coded with MP in the mind
- the finished product will be for sale as an indie game and in the meantime you'll be able to try the free and buggy early version
- We will have to worship him in order to get early versions as a reward
- Java for the language.
- jME3 for the 3d engine.
- OpenGL 2.0.
- Will be available on PC, Linux and Mac.

Looks cool!

The very first video of the project has been posted.

Looks pretty good so far, I think. His voice is kinda quiet throughout the video, and a bunch of cubes jumping around isn't too much to go on.

D'oh, why go 3D? Minecraft style games look awful - would much prefer a 2D 'tiled' game with far more gameplay!

Ok, I'm pissed. I was getting ready to turn on the forth generator room of the underground char base when suddenly, I can't move. Arrows keys dont work, numpad doesn't work with numpad on or off, I could even use most of the controls (Including saving).

Tried reloading the game, still stuck. Anyone have solutions?

Rogue Survivor 2?  I didn't see this coming.  RJ should keep working on Rogue Survivor but make the 3D option another way to play.  Load a world in 2D, play through a bit, then save game and load it in 3D and play from where you left off.  It'd probably not be feasible but that'd be awesome. 

Also, I'm not sure if saving while you were stuck overwrote your old save but I haven't played in awhile so someone else may know better.
