So, I started a new game, and I decided the first thing to do was raid the hospital. Very good idea. If you find a good gun and get there early, you can get a large stash supplies in the basement. Only lack is a bed in the areas where the food is stored.

I turned off the citizens being murdered because my first two games played I was quickly (within 5 minutes) murdered by a NPC human. But I want to play at 100% difficulty...

the new survivors personnality/relationship truly add a lot more depth to the game, i had an incredible fun in my first alpha 6 attempt despite my character being murdered while waking up in a gunshop basement by some food stealing bastard that i tried to fight back with my too fresh character instead of running away to find cops.

The level of tension it adds between survivors really give more atmosphere, will make it even more important to get followers/friends you can really count on to watch your back, and in the same time have you taking care of their well being too instead of using them as meat shield you discard to avoid them taking food before you.

Great update. Amazing how this game is building up with each new alpha into a definitive must play for any survival game fans.

Looks cool...hopefully it won't make it too ridiculous trying to deal with murderers, getting killed in the night and such, it is seriously so annoying when you're sleeping and the game randomly ends because some biker shot you in the night, you don't even get to see what happened, even more annoying if this happens more often.

On the other hand, it sounds like it could add a nice new dynamic to the game, also I'm glad to see that all civilians will now level up in the morning, instead of just you and your followers.

Oh, and apparently bikers won't use guns anymore, yay!  It got so annoying when they went and attacked you with a shotgun.

I'm having a bit of trouble with corrupt ram, but the config file(separate download) fails to start and suggests reinstalling.

Any tips or is this just my ram trouble acting up...

oh and I recently reformated and still havnt got around to SP1/2

Okay, sp2 and c++redist are in and it's still not working. (0xc0000135) seems to be the error code(though that looks like a memory address).

Do I need the .net framework?

Yes, apparently you need the .net framework for it.

Have you tried the readme.txt solutions :

Note that the RSConfig.exe is missing from the alpha 6 release, but is available separately (the "hotfix") in the download page :

If you've done all that and is STILL having problems, use the RSconfig file to change some settings, this pretty much is what makes the game completely playable for me.

I love the new features, but the justice system perhaps needs more work. I was ambushed by a survivor when sleeping and almost pounded into a bloody pulp with a hammer. I managed to shoot the bastard dead with 1 HP left. Two days later one of the cops executes me on spot for murder. Even though I had already knew how it works, it was a WTF moment to me.

I have finally "completed" the game, although I cheated by possesing the serial killer.
It was a cakewalk. Seriously if you camp in a spot for 50 days you'll end up killing princes and neophytes without breaking a sweat

The Serial Killer doesn't require sleep, food, and has a 1.25x speed multiplier. He also starts off with the best melee stats and the best melee weapon. I don't think he is affected by stamina, either.

My friend, I think you weren't just cheating, but playing god mode.


If you played a regular surviver, killing princes followed a swarm of dark zombies while being cornered, because you had to sleep, is a bit more than a cake-walk, trust me.

He is affected by stamina. Thats pretty much his only weakness and the reason to why he can die before you meet him. Zombies can get him if they surround him, since he'll keep swinging the axe and get tired.
