I had a sweet base :D. It had furniture, a bedroom, a secret room and it was in a shop. I survived until day 9. It was my second playthough.

I've managed to survive in a Business District for a while now. I dismantled a few furniture pieces, and fortified the CHAR office in the district. I also stole lots of canned food from surrounding districts. Food will not be a problem from now on, and the army is regularly dropping supplies. However, In all my scavenging, I haven't seen any living humans yet.

When I turned around the corner once, I came up on a literal horde of zombies, trapped behind cars. They were all human zombies. And they all had their attention on me. I counted at least 12, and a ZP in the horde as well.

Get a grenade, stat and kite (or was kyte?) like hell if you want to survive that encounter.

Also a bit advice on dealing with the police bunny.

See, thats what I don't get, how in the world do you guys get so much canned food? Its all gone by the time I get there, even if I run!

I suspect you've never tried doing many illegal things yet in your game. The second the CCS knows you're "active", they'll come down on you like the hammer of God.

Sacrifice more goats to the RNG gods. That or check out the other NPCS. Call it shrewd or just plain wrong, whatever but I find that intentionally getting other NPCS (especially migrating ones) killed can be a large boost to your survival. NPCS do not tear down barricades. Use that to your advantage by building death trap houses.

Also, refrigerators are great clues to whether or not there are food items in the area. Also, be sure to look for basements in stores! They usually do not have many items but you'll need all the resources you can get!

I've still yet to see a cellphone. And I've lost about half a dozen survivors to crashes! I play for extended periods of time, so I don't save very often. :'(

I never got followers until the very last game, and it was only that game that crashed. must be related to followers or somefink.

It's related to NPC's infinitely equiping and unequiping items. Having followers near you all the time drastically increases the odds of seeing this bug. Oh well, fixed in next version. For now, just save like a mofo.

And lucky for us, the next version will come soon enough. Because Rogue Survivor is a real roguelike with a real developer who really talks to us. Unlike some others I could mention.

Anyway, Roguedjack wants to know if this version has better save/load times. I haven't loaded anything yet, but the save function is most certainly faster.

The bug fixes are welcomed.

I've noticed that save has significantly decreased, although at times it does seem to take a bit longer even during the first week. Loading is a lot faster. That's all I have to say about it.

Also, I've lost another three characters to crashes. A quarter of it feels like it's related to grenades, other times, it's during migration waves or after them.

Yeah, crashes really ruin the immersion.

RJ updated the blog, 4.11 will have a few bug fixes and something else will be added.

Why do I get the feeling that Bay 12 has rubbed off on him and "somthing extra as a little bonus" is FUN? Because I think it's going to be FUN. Be afraid.

Consider this a notice:
On the smaller map sizes, subway stations and sewer maintence buildings don't always show up. (the police and hospital apparently does, however)
