Actually, that's a pretty accurate way to view the stronger survivors, especially since they're all wearing military armor and sometimes carry grenades; which you should trade for immediately, because you'll use them more effectively then the ai does.

Survivors come in vans now? When did I miss this? (It came in version 4.3, didn't it.)
No, they are here for quite a long time.

Batteries or a method of recharging them should be implemented sometimes, 1/6 trackers I find are depleted, and when they aren't they only have enough life for a few turns of tracking.

About charging anything that requires batteries, I think any structure that has a generator should have some method of charging instruments.  As far as I can remember that includes:  subway station, hospital, and bunny hole.
Yeah, I thought about that too. That goes right into Suggestions forum.

Make more suggestions, maybe Roguedjack will like them.

Amazing, wasn't expecting the 5.0 release that soon.

Reincarnation is really adding to the fun, got a character and a follower, my character was killed when infiltrating a CHAR complex, reincarnated into my follower that avenged my previous self death (just to be killed the next turn by another guard coming out from a nearby room).

And the ability to build baricades out of more sustainable material, like concrete would be nice.

Holy crap. Is it just me or has food become much rarer since Alpha 3/4? I used to have no trouble surviving the early bit of the game at all, but now I find on average one bag of groceries and 2-3 cans of food in <4 days!

That sucks. Even in my starting area, almost every single house is empty. It seems like food is actually easier to get the longer you last, due to the drops. Gonna have to plan this out some-- starvation is getting me every time.

This is exactly what happens.

In order to prevent this (at least partially) you have to start with the leadership skill, and then: recruit people who have food, set their orders to not pick up items, order them to drop everything, swap places once they're done dropping, pick up their "donated" food, and then revoke their follower status.
Their food is now in your (hopefully safer) hands.

As well, if you're on the map with the police station and you started the game with leadership, you can make a very quick 7 army rations right off the start by taking the prisoner who should not be as a follower BEFORE he steps into the hallway. The tile with the bench and the tile with the door are SAFE; but as soon as he steps into the hallway he'll try and talk with you, and you know what happens after that. The general idea is to: get to the police station immediately if you spawn on the map with it, OR if district simulation is not off and you feel like running it to completion, not be sleepy at all and...

... Or just run into a zombie, die horribly, and reincarnate as a living thing who doesn't need food (like a Char Gaurd, or Army Soldier, or Black Ops)
