I just have a question. Can you make weapons yet? I saw an "improvised club" so I assume you may be able to.
In a sense, yes. It appears as though ALL wooden objects when destroyed, has a chance to generate an "improvised spear" or an "improvised club" along with the normal wooden plank. This includes the small and large barricade. I think you can see where this is going: The small barricade at carpentry 3 costs only one wooden plank to create, and always drops 1 wooden plank. It also always has a chance to drop an improvised spear/club. Therefore, at Carpentry level 3, you can infinitely create and destroy a small barricade and obtain an infinite amount of improvised spears and improvised clubs.
Now consider that NPC survivors can spawn in with wooden planks and that the more powerful survivors often have several physical attribute skills, making the small bonus given by the improvised weapons just that much more useful.

In effect, the true END-GAME of rogue survivor will be how capable you are at using what is basically stone-age technology with teamwork (leadership 3 never looked so good) against the mutant zombies and other things that want you dead.

I think there should be combo weapons on Rogue Survivor. Not like Dead Rising's ULTRA unrealistic ones. Stuff like, Fuel + Empty Bottle = Molotov and Glue+Nails+Bat = Spiked bat.

Here it is, "Genesis" mod for 4.2 alpha:

I desaturated and made "CHAR" walls a bit brighter, changed some posters and spray paints and some other graphics. You should probably see where I'm going if you look at a new medikit image or "safehouse" spraypaint.

 

Also for this release I've replaced skeletons with dogs (the game still calls them skeleton042 but their description and unit type are correct) and made cellphone to work for 32 hours, and flashlight for 12 hours (instead of base 8 ).

I have all sprites ready. You can make yours, I don't mind :). I will just sleep today after I patch this up (I've put the updated sprites in the post above, I've shaded them), and then I will make a DF mod. I don't mind others doing the same task btw :).

Great idea. I think a chainsaw instead of a psycho's machete should be cool. And I will change something else to machete (i.e. 2nd gold club, two golf clubs is not too fun).

Okay, playing my mod at 185% difficulty is... Fun. I cannot survive more than day 3 (well I do not barricade in, I prefer to explore, that's the reason... and "day0 undead" = 100% and "invasion daily increase" = 20% :D). A minor bonus to zombie's speed made them much more dangerous and interesting. The old zombies you could kite easily were... boring.

The old zombies you could kite easily were... boring.

Indeed they were.

Here's a tip to all who are having trouble killing the serial killer.

Use explosives.
