You can force Win 7 to run in dx9 though. I forget what the command line is.

Later versions often break some things. Usually things that shouldn't have been relied on in the first place, I assume, though who knows. I'm pretty sure vista runs directx 10 by default, so I doubt that's the problem...

I think you have to move the exe in the latest version into the main folder. I haven't downloaded the new version yet, so I'm just going off what I read here.

if you have anything older then 3.0 you have to go to add/remove programs in the control panel and forcefully delete it from there first.
