Just had a gem cutter/setter go possessed, but the only things he has to build his artifact are gems, will i get an artifact gem window?

Strange moods sometimes bend the fabric of reality. I remember not too long ago a little moody dwarf who made a coffin out of a single gem here on these forums.

What I generally do with unused artifacts is place them in a remote saferoom with a stockpile designated for artifact-quality goods for all item types with quality. Specifically: furniture/siege ammo, ammo, finished goods, weapons/trap comps and armor. Guard it however you want.

i designated a furniture stockpile that only allows legendary, but it got into my other stockpile before i forbade it.

I then forbade all artifact furniture but it has yet to be hauled.

One more question, i have a legendary wrestler killing goblin prisoners with a hammer, four gobs in and not even dabbling in hammerdwarf, can he not gain skill in hammers?

Playing 40d, if it makes a difference.
