I'm actually really impressed at the quality of them. Have these gone through any enhancements or restorations? Or are they straight projections from the originals?
Either way, they're pretty awesome.
the way the originals would have been viewed is that the 3 B&W images would have been projected through filters. these images do the same thing with digital filters, consolidating it into a single color image.

They were retouched a bit by the library of congress.

Personally, I find this pic much more dwarfy

Thanks for the link (I suppose I should have done more exploring). That's pretty cool.
I have a dabbling interest in photo restoration and wanted to see what they were working with.

It's always cool to see these inventions scattered throughout history that were years ahead of their time, too.

Wow, that's just amazing. I had no idea there would have been any way to take color photos almost 100 years ago, even if they weren't color when they came out.
