Ok, so my previous attempt fell apart very quickly after getting enough players, happens. This time I have worked with Pandarsenic on the game rules and things should be more stable, and interesting.
Please read the rules below once again, and discuss the new features, which are listed in a 'changes' spoiler below.
Alignments will stay the same this time around, so you mafia know each other still, and so that I don't have to open another mafia chat. Power roles will be randomized again, but it will still be those that had them previously.Yes, even though I've decided to never play mafia again, I never said I wouldn't attempt to host a game. And this time, I'm going to try to bring a fresh take on mafia to the table.
This is a more advanced mafia game, there are locations, and players can move between them.
In this game, the mafia is more deadly, but common power roles are more powerful to match.
Each turn has four periods. Three day periods and a night period. Each day period a player can move to another building and perform an action if he/she has one,
This happens immediately. During the night, the town players and certain roles will be sleeping in their homes.
Players may 'go into hiding', this will hide their true location from the map by only stating where they were last publically known. From then on that player will PM movements as well as actions to me, until the night phase or they decide to come out of hiding. Players may only do this once every other day. (basically, a one day cooldown)
Lynch voting works slightly different in this game. Votes can only be made in the Town Hall. In the third period, the lynch will occur and all players that were in the Town Hall will attend, those that weren't will not. Only players who were present in the Town Hall during third period will count towards the vote.
There are role and alignment flips.

You are but a basic townie, you have no special abilities.
-Cop-
You are of the town.
You may enter other people's homes and search the premises to determine the faction of the owner during the day, once per day.
You also can detect people in the same building as you even when they are in hiding, you also notice any lack of presence...
You will detect any bombs partially or completely built in your current building. Doesn't mean you can disarm them however.
You sleep during the night.
-Doctor-
You are of the town.
You may construct a lab to produce med kits. Med kits are used with your other abilities.(constructing the lab takes two periods and producing medkits takes a period each. You may not construct the lab in your own home)
If a person is to be assassinated in the same building as you, you will save them, no global announcement of the attack will be made, but you will be informed.(1 Med Kit)
At night, you may also protect a person of your choice from death.(1 Med Kit)
You may administer an 'invulnerability syrum', which protects a person from any attacks for an entire day. However, administering this to a subject reveals your role to him/her, pick wisely.(3 Med Kits)
-Vigilante-
You are of the town, but you have decided to hunt the mafia for yourself.
You may assassinate a person during the day, you must be in the same building to do this. It would be wise to only do so while alone with the victim and not on the map, but you are not required.
If someone attempts to assassinate you during the day, you will manage to kill them in retaliation.
You sleep during the night.
-Detonator-
You are of the town.
You may go into hiding every turn.
You may produce explosives while in a building, so long as it isn't your own home. If you spend three periods doing this in the same building, you will have a plantable explosive. It is not neccessary to spend all three periods all together.
You may plant an explosive in any building besides occupied homes(if the owner is dead, you may ignore this, your own home is also allowed). You may plant the explosive to be remote detonated whenever you like, or triggered when a person enters the building(except for you).
When an explosive goes off, it kills everyone inside and destroys the building.
-Sniper-
You are of the town.
During the day, you may assassinate someone in another building, you may do this even when not in hiding without being discovered so long as nobody else is in the same building as you. You may not perform your assassinating power while in your own home. You may only perform this once per day.
You sleep during the night.

-Mafioso-
You are of the mafia, you must kill the townies.
You and your compatriots can send one member at night to a house to kill the owner.
You may also assassinate a townie during the day, you must be in the same building to do this. It would be wise to only do so while alone with the victim and not on the map, but you are not required.
-Vote Pusher-
You are of the mafia, you must kill the townies.
You and your compatriots can send one member at night to a house to kill the owner.
Your special ability is that you can influance the town vote, to do so you must be in the Town Hall, and preferably alone. If you attempt to influence the vote while a townie is present, they will see what you are doing and a global announcement will be made. If you succeed, an additional 2 votes will be counted against a person of your choice, you do not have to be present for these votes to count at third period.
-Stalker-
You are of the mafia, you must kill the townies.
You may go into hiding every turn.
You and your compatriots can send one member at night to a house to kill the owner.
You may also assassinate a townie during the day, you must be in the same building to do this. It would be wise to only do so while alone with the victim and not on the map, but you are not required.
Your special ability allows you to 'stalk' an individual of your choice while hidden from the map, you'll go whever he/she goes, and if that person is alone, you will immediately kill them. You will continue to stalk the person even when they are hidden from the map. Be careful not to get carried away with this ability.

You are of the mafia, you must kill the townies.
You may go into hiding every turn.

You may produce explosives while in a building, so long as it isn't your own home. If you spend two periods doing this in the same building, you will have a plantable explosive. It is not neccessary to spend both periods all together.
Unlike the other detonators, you must plant your bomb in the same building you built it. You may plant the explosive to be remote detonated whenever you like, or triggered when a person enters the building(except for you).
When an explosive goes off, it kills everyone inside and destroys the building.
-Sniper-
You are a lone serial killer.
During the day, you may assassinate someone in another building, you may do this even when not in hiding without being discovered so long as nobody else is in the same building as you. You may not perform your assassinating power while in your own home. You may only perform this once per day.
The game will have 2 townie power roles randomly picked with no duplicates, and 2 mafia, one of which will be a mafia power role. There may or may not be a serial killer as well.
Bombs:If the detonator attempts to plant a bomb(or even build a bomb) in the presence of another(except for mafia detonator and another mafia), then his actions are globally announced, and the bomb defused.(or otherwise removed)
Labs:If the Doctor's lab is discovered, then the fact will only be revealed to the person discovering it. If a mafia member or serial killer discovers it, they may choose to dismantle it.
When an assassination occurs(this is assuming you are the perpetrator):If you are alone with the victim and he is killed, then that will create a global announcement stating that person has died, but not necessarily by your hands. Another person in the same area will show whether you were responsible or not. Unless you and the 3rd person are both mafia, then it will give a statement that you were not responsible.
When an assassination is made against a person in hiding: It fails, except for the mafia stalker, who always knows where his target is. When it fails the person who attempted it is notified.
Night:The whereabouts of players at night are not shown on the map besides those that must sleep. No global announcements are made at night, instead, any discoveries are PMed to the appropriate individuals. Sleeping characters will not notice actions being taken in their location.
Housing: Homes cannot be entered by anyone except for the owner at night, unless the owner is dead, or the person entering is going to perform the mafia nightkill.
-Doctor creates a lab to make 'medkits', which he uses for his actions. He also has a new ability. ($)
-When players go into hiding, no global announcement is made, and the map will show their last position before they went into hiding. ($)
-Add Mafia and SK Sniper. ($)
-add 'sleeps at night' tags to Cop, Vigilante, and town Sniper. ($)
-Cop can detect bombs, but cannot act upon them beyond word of mouth. ($)
-Re-voting now possible. ($)
There are 9 player slots, and 15 buildings. The building list will also serve as the player list, because I like the compression that gives.
