Interesting development: I caused a kernel panic while trying to gen Aluorna v2.

It's the multiversal disruption that Ura and Led created, spilling over into our world.

No, it's just the fact that my laptop has 876 MB RAM.

That's pretty sad. And can't be upgraded? RAM is fairly cheap, anyway.

Now where's Deathsword...

Post Humus Journal of Erica Wheelcircles the Legendary Die-r

Eureka! I've figured it out! How the water reactors work! You see, the very thought of such a stupid concept causes the trees to rotate in their graves as much as it does any dwarven physicist, and since the trees are part of the waterwheels, the ethereal energy that is collected by the dead from other sources like light or radiated heat is released by the "lunacy reaction" and becomes rotational energy to power the pump, spurring an even more tremendous "lunacy reaction" from the trees, providing enough rotational energy to meet the needs of most dwarven machinery. The dead seem to become heat sinks at this point though. Perhaps heat has 'pressure' and attempts to evenly distribute itself throughout the space that is now being constantly drained of heat?

Wheelcircles was a rather prophetic name, as it turns out. The living seem rather concerned by my body levitating above the ground as it rotates rapidly. Here's to hoping nobody tries to connect it to a pump and rips my arm off.

Still no idea how trees can produce this reaction though, since they neither have souls nor any intellect whatsoever. Perhaps this natural force elves worship directly influences them and is itself dumbfounded by our idiocy?

What's the FPS like? I might be interested in getting thrown onto the top of the corpse pile turn waiting list.

Edit: Just saw the FPS reports. Might as well throw me on the end of the list. If we make it that far.

You know what?

I think I'll have another go.

Could I please be put on the waiting list?

You seem to be under the illusion that we give a shit about what happens to dwarves who are too dumb to live.

Assuming we survive that long, I too would appreciate another chance at slaughtering the forts' most popular dwarves bringing the place up to a decent standard of living keeping it just barely alive, like a young woman in my sexy torture dungeon.

Yesterday I purchased a new motherboard and processor that claims and is benchmarked to outperform my current one several times over. The motherboard will also support the video card I got a couple years ago that simply isn't supported by my current one. My capacity for entertainment should skyrocket exponentially, assuming I don't have to actually get another video card, since the motherboard doesn't have an onboard video processor.

Still alive, so is the fort. I've been busy lately, I try to play when I can but it's slow despite the "improvement" in FPS (from 9 to 10)

What happens if the world runs out of FBs?

Then the Failcannon dwarves would be the new most feared beings of Aluonra

By that time the story made up by you people would have also resulted in severe creature RAW modifying leading to various mutant dwarf castes, each more horrifying than the last and most likely also a hostile megabeast.

Because a wizard did it, or the Queen, or something.

That'd be cool. Stop giving us ideas. No, seriously.

I could totally get in on mutant dwarf-caste modding.  Heck, eldritch abominations are what most of my previous modding has involved.

And the best part is we wouldn't even need to regen the world!
At least I'm like 99% sure that adding castes doesn't do anything special, except it'd need new dorfs to show up in order for 'em to be of the new speshul classes.

Which may or may not randomly burst in flames.

Oh, if I had anything to do with it, everything else would be in flames.  It also wouldn't be random.  It'd be completely under my control, and it would doom anyone else who tried to harness it.

Now we know what we have to do for Battlefailed III. Or Failcannon II xD
