You pulled off the best turn ever in Ardentdikes and now you did the same with Failcannon. Congratulations, you won DF.

Wasting our time? Are you serious? That was awesome...

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

But...but...if you don't do risky things, then it's not fun.  When was the last time you read about a totally epic fort where everyone was walled in by a drawbridge and never fought FBs?  It's called FUN for a reason!

=)

...Put me up after you, Urist, it'll be magnets-grade miracles if we survive until then.

Savescumming while keeping the bad ending intact and partially canon (and FLOODING FUCKING EVERYTHING WITH MAGMA as part of the alternate timeline) seems to be a very nice way of combining epicness with the continued survival of the fort. Well played, Seth.

So we got monsters above, monsters below, dwarves in the middle and a party in the dining hall. Sounds good to me.
If all else fails, remember one thing:  kittens are delicious, nutritious little goblin-baiters, cavern explorers, and ambush-finders.

That was fucking awesome Seth, you weren't wasting our time, not with something so epic. But I agree with Oglokoog, the split timeline was a nice idea.

I guess since things are so good right now, they can start slowly going back to Hell again. All in the name of Fun.

Oh fuck, I just reread the ending of Battlefailed while listening to this, and now I have to ask if anyone else thinks that it needs to be animated?

There needs to be animations of all the epic forts, in our time as well as in the past. Boatmurdered, Headshoots, Syrupleaf, Nist Ahnk, Battlefailed and Artendikes.
