Joss reveals some home-brewn metal music
« on: August 19, 2010, 04:52:07 pm »

I thought I'd share some songs I've recorded recently. The drums in the songs are programmed (EZDrummer Drumkit From Hell), the guitars, vocals, all recording and mixing are done by me on a mediocre computer from 2006 using a SB Live! soundcard from 2000. The guitar used is an Epiphone Explorer and the microphone is a Shure beta 57a.
I admit, they are WIP songs with many flaws, but you get the idea.

I'm going to redo the guitars and record a second verse eventually

The solo's are awful, I'm so out of shape. Going to do vocals for this one also.

Blizzard is managed by dark sorcerers, and probably have enough money to bail-out the federal government.

It's not screaming, more like growling (but not quite). I'm lousy at screaming and the style of music in which it is used is not my cup of tea. I'm aiming for Randy Blythesque (Lamb of God) or Devin Townsendish vocals.

Well atleast I'm not doing mediocre vocal covers of random songs with screaming/growling vocals with my webcam and putting them up on youtube.

I told you, I was trolling  :P anyway what do you mean by "growling" do you mean the vocals that you would hear on Scream Bloody Gore by Death or Cookie Monster vocals?
